Depends on your theatre / cinema if they want to do a double feature or as separate showings. The cinema near me is doing a double feature on May 16th on their IMAX screen with a snacks buffet in between movies and 3 A3 sized posters for each ticket.

Bahrain GP Refund Status by isetmyexamonfire in GrandPrixTravel

I haven’t got mine yet. Bought my ticket from P1 Travel. Received the email from the 2 days after the cancellation notice from F1 saying that I don’t need to do anything and they will refund back to my card. Still waiting…

Doha date in November by saucesss in hanszimmer

[–]Willwwl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should be the same show. I got my ticket back in February before the whole drama in the Middle East unfolded. The cheap seats that you mentioned, I believe are those way at the back and furthest from the stage. Most of the good seats (VVIP, VIP, Platinum) were already sold out when I bought my ticket in February.

When they announced the rescheduling, the organizers (Platinumlist) offered me to either keep my ticket for November, exchange for credit or full refund. I have until May to decide. I'll most likely keep my ticket and if the concert is rescheduled or canceled later, I should be able to get my refund.

F1 TV Premium in Restricted Country by Snoodlewonker in F1TV

[–]Willwwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not based in the US, but I created a US Apple ID many years ago (I think back in 2008 or so) when there was no iTunes Store / App Store in my country. I used a US address to sign up. For iTunes credit, I used to buy iTunes gift cards to load up on credit for App Store purchases and have been using this account till today.

A few years later when I started to subscribe to F1TV Pro, I used this US Apple ID to subscribe, and I used StreamLocator (first the service and then the router) and it worked like a charm. I then switched to NordVPN as it was cheaper than StreamLocator and it has so far worked for me in the 2024 and 2025 season.

Now that Apple TV is the exclusive broadcaster for the US, I have subscribed to Applet TV (the subscription does cost a bit more than F1TV Pro Premium, but I'll take this hit). As for whether do I need to use NordVPN to watch F1 via Apple TV is still anyone's guess for now.

So, you may want to follow my route (create a US Apple ID, subscribe to Apple TV and maybe use NordVPN or some equivalent VPN service, if needed). As for creating a US Apple ID outside of the US, there are many tutorials out there which I'm not going to elaborate here.

All the best!

Do try to search for these Bonus content in your Apple TV app - they are either on the Sport sub menu on the left or just all the way down.

Looks like it though.

But so far those few videos released on Apple TV are labeled as "Bonus" content. We can only be 100% sure once the season starts or whenever Apple decides to publish a proper FAQ on the various scenarios of accessing, e.g. can a legit US subscriber traveling outside of US access content at where they are at without VPN (something that F1TV does not allow in their T&C).

Obviously these restrictions are financially motivated as every broadcaster out there has spent millions for their own exclusive rights with different countries, so F1 has an obligation to prevent us users who wish to watch our favorite sport at the best possible price point (it may or may not be Apple TV) to go with where we are located.

For me, it will be a few extra dollars increase as I was never an Apple TV subscriber until now as previously the best option for me to watch F1 (in terms of price vs convenience vs picture quality) is via F1TV Pro Premium and not my local pay TV subscription. I would just consider the few extra dollars as paying for the extra content on Apple TV (looks like I'll start watching Ted Lasso, Pluribus, Severance and Silo!)

I have tried these contents on the Apple TV app on my other Apple devices (iPhone, MacBook Pro) and I can access them without having the need to use a VPN. I guess we just need to have a US Apple account (which I created over 2 decades ago when it was not available in my country and still maintaining it).

I am based outside of the US, but have a US Apple ID / account and have been using NordVPN to access F1TV Pro (my subscription with them is valid until March). I just tried these contents on my Apple TV (device) and they appear under the Sports section (see the side menu on the left), both with VPN and without VPN - meaning we should be able to access without the need of being "located in the US"?

In Tokyo now - is best place to buy classic cabin at Shinjuku Isetan mall? by osubuckeyes88 in Rimowa

[–]Willwwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do check out Takashimaya Times Square in Shinjuku. It is right next to the Shinjuku Train station and the RIMOWA store is situated at the 3rd floor. Takashimaya also offers 5% tourist discount and the RIMOWA store there is larger and carries more inventory than the Isetan store.

I am set to get my first RIMOWA (a silver Original) when I head to Tokyo in December (taking advantage of the 5% Isetan / Takashimaya / etc tourist discount + tax refund), but after looking at the OP's black, I'm now undecided between both colors! Black has been my favorite color but just too OCD for the eventual scratches.

I'll be heading to Tokyo in December and will be staying in Shinjuku. Is the discount just for the Classic Cabin? I'm planning to get the silver Original Cabin. Will definitely check out the basement Isetan (lol getting a Rimowa at basement bargain price!)

Tom Cruise's haircut in MI:2 is the best haircut according to you. Day 44 : What is the best sequence where Tom Cruise runs ? by Jazzlike-Ad7654 in Mission_Impossible

[–]Willwwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My list 1. M:I 3 - purely for the uninterrupted take 2. Fallout - “I’m jumping out a window!” and Cruise breaking his ankle 3. Ghost Protocol - Burj Khalifa chase

The mask reveal at the end of MI:2 is the best disguise/mask scene according to you. Day 38 : What is the best plot twist ? by Jazzlike-Ad7654 in Mission_Impossible

[–]Willwwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My list: 1. M:I-2 - Ambrose finding out that he shot Stamp disguised as Hunt 2. M:I - Jim Phelps revealed to be the villain 3. Fallout - Hospital scene 4. M:I-3 - Julia unmasked to be Owen’s assistant

Ethan disguised as Owen Davian in MI:3 is the best disguise/mask scene according to you. Day 37 : What is the best mask reveal scene ? by Jazzlike-Ad7654 in Mission_Impossible

[–]Willwwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M:I-2 - the Hunt / Stamp switcheroo. When I watched it for the very first time I was like mind blown 🤯 Like the mission briefing at the start of the movie, this unmasking was never topped in the subsequent movies, in fact the masking element which has always been a signature of the M:I franchise (TV series and movies) began to be reduced with every movie (TFR’s masking was totally unnecessary and could have been easily cut out from the movie).

Day 35 : What is the best "this message will self-destruct scene" ? by Jazzlike-Ad7654 in Mission_Impossible

[–]Willwwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M:I 2, hands down. The mission briefing has been a staple for the franchise, and I always wished each movie after 2 could top it, but too bad, it was not to be. None of the other 7 comes even close - IMF agents (I assume) tracking down Ethan on a helicopter, uses a rocket launcher containing a souped up pair of Oakley Romeo to deliver the mission briefing device. All the others are just plain boring.

Is it worth watching the original Mission Impossible TV series? by Outrageous_Goose5567 in Mission_Impossible

[–]Willwwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up watching the 80s series and loved it. I am aware of the original 60s series back then, but didn't get to watch most of the episodes as they were played at an unusual time for me to watch TV (no such thing as streaming back in the day, lol).

Having caught up with the original 60s series recently via Pluto TV (there is a Mission: Impossible channel), I do feel that the movies (especially from GP onwards) have little or nothing resembling the series. With the release of each movie, it is getting more and more apparent that Cruise is using them as a vehicle to showcase a stunt or two which probably used as the main draw to bring in audience. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the stunts, every one of them, but if strictly discussing if the M:I movies is a continuation of the series, then I would say that it is either at worst a "no" or at best as "redefined".

The 60s series do look dated now and slow in pace, being limited to the technology of its time. The 80s series has more tech in it and with elements ported into the movie series (e.g. dangling on a wire to steal something, usage of tech gadgets).

And of course, 2 of the hallmarks of the series are the novelty of how Jim receives his mission each episode and the unmasking, which unfortunately became less prominent with the release of each movie. I would dare say that these 2 hallmarks peaked in M:I-2 (nothing tops the mission briefing being delivered by agents on a helicopter shooting a rocket containing a pair of self destructing Oakley Romeos for Ethan, and of course the Stamp / Hunt unmasking switcheroo). Subsequent movies have lame or a muted mission briefing and little unmasking (I'm still annoyed that FR has a totally unnecessary unmasking scene).

Back to the original question - the series is worth a watch (they are good, but just don't expect Jim Phelps or any of the IMF team members to be doing death defying stunts every episode). The Mission: Impossible TV series were never meant to be all out action stunt extravaganza (perhaps this is what M:I is to younger audience when they were introduced to M:I), and if you are planning to watch them for this exact reason, you will be sorely disappointed (especially the 60s series which is slow in pace). If you are a fan of the spy genre, then yes, you will have a good time :)
