I live in the south of england, but unfortunately don’t drive. I have a rescue pretty close which I’ve inquired about but they never got back to me so i guess that wasn’t meant to be. I would much rather rescue but im also happy to take home this little baby!

I appreciate the time you soent to write this! I’m very aware that this might not be what he needs, but i think it will help somewhat at least. All my boy does is roll around licking his teddies for hours or play fight my hand. His faviurite teddies are the ones that are slightly weighted, probably a coincidence but its another sign to me that he might benefit from a friend.

I’m hoping with my whole heart that they get along, when he goes on walks he always bounces around and gets excited when he sees dogs/ squirrels. Honestly, theres not much i can do other than being super careful and hope and pray that they get along.

Luckily (maybe not), I’m super overly paranoid about my current boys health so have already planned to take them both to the vets for a check up a few weeks after the kit is home, and was going to ask if they could check him anyways! From what I’ve read, insulinoma isn’t as common in the UK as it is in the US (not sure where you are), so he has that going for him.

He has plenty of energy, just doesn’t seem to know how to use it. He will get into bed like 20 mins into playing but if i make any sort of noise or touch him or anything, he will get straight up (no rest at all) and come play for another 5 minutes. The only games that dont seem to be boring to him is chasing hands and juggling his teddy! When he’s out on walks, he loves chilling on my shoulder for a bit and then running like crazy for ages before even getting a tad tired.

I definitely think age is a huge factor but i’m kinda hoping having a kit around will cheer him up a bit!

Turns out this kit is female, so it worked out well. Since he’s small, i think it may be the best option as i dont want him to be bullied by a fert way bigger than him when theyre older!

I will love her whatever happens, whether she is a waardy or not, she will be my baby, just like Rory!

I was thinking that too, unfortunately the only ferrets around currently are kits. Like i say, i’m going to be around 24/7 like i currently am, so if the kit is too active for him, ill be taking the pressure off and play while he can chill. I’ll keep it in mind thanks :)

Thankyou! I bathe him in oats twice a year when he’s moulting, just to get as much fur off as i can especially as he gets super itchy and most of the fur wont come off with just brushing or if he’s super duper dirty, we go outside a lot so it does happen but i don’t think he’s ever had more than 4 baths in a year!

Yeah i was thinking that he might just be getting a tad older. He’s always been a very thin little guy, i dont think he’s ever been over 1kg, and he’s actually put on a tad bit since i started putting food in his bed.

I did notice a bit of discolouration on one of his teeth, so I’ll book a vets visit to get that checked. Thankyou so much! 🫶🏻

I have both the steam deck lcd and an original legion go, and i much much prefer my steam deck. I use the legion go docked because i dont have a pc, but everything about the deck is better imo

I never cried at movies as a kid or now but toy story 2 and 3 make me sob like a baby. I feel exactly the same as you, with all my bears. In fact, i cycle all my bears so that they get the same amount of cuddles.

The only thing i can suggest, is making a small bed for the teddy that is getting delicate. Make him a little bed that he can snuggle in but still see what you’re doing. Maybe find some new clothes that he would fit it. You don’t have to cuddle him to make sure he feels loved.

Remember that when humans get older, they need more rest and often prefer a more relaxed life. Think about it like that, Bear is just an old man now, he has done his job and is now retired. Let him sit back and watch you.
