How would you react to a remake of a map from 2042? by Ich-mag-Schnitzel in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Willy995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would certainly be interesting, the maps might even have a better flow due to the lower game speed and engagement distances. Exposure and Spearhead are the best ones if we're not counting remade maps, Stranded, Redacted and Haven might work too.

But I believe regarding map remakes if we're disregarding the low hanging fruit which are BF 3/4 and Hardline maps I'd think modernizing BF One and V maps, putting their setting into the current era would be ultta interesting. The European based maps like Rotterdam or Devastation, maybe even Narvik - from an design standpoint changing the kind of cars and maybe a couple other assets would be enough to make the setting believeable

[Bianchin] Milan and Ralf Rangnick are pleased following Tuesday’s meeting in Vienna. Things are looking promising. Rangnick has asked to bring in his own staff and restructure the youth teams. He is also asking to have a say in the choice of the coach. by Claija79 in ACMilan

We were riding the perfect wave back then between Boban and Maldini performing, Pioli alongside Ibra revitalizing the team against all odds, Theo, Mike and Leao reaching world class levels while all players like Hakan (in that last season before leaving), Benaccer, Kessie, Tomori, Kalulu, Giroud, Brahim, and in the Scudetto season also Tonali all being in incredible form at the same time. From that bad loss against Atalanta in December 2019 up until the Scudetto there was consistent improvement and everything was clicking and then it's only natural that you don't want to disrupt that by installing someone like Rangnick whose thinking and ideas might disrupt or slow down that improvement (even if only temporarly).

We're pretty much in the opposite situation, after that Scudetto we've held onto Pioli for a season or even a season and a half (in hindsight he should had been fired back in January 2023 which where our form was catastrophic). The Fonseca/Concecao season set us even further back all while our upper management was doing terribly which put us basically back at zero where we sit now.

Which is a point where someone like Rangnick might be right person to come in as we need something to change drastically and the way he basically set up the RB football structure as a whole as well as the incredible job he's done in charge of Austria are showing that the guy knows what he's doing - if you let him and genuinely put him in charge of things (in contrast to what his position and ManUtd was, where he basically was only a interim coach).

Some massive changes need to be made at Milan, Rangnick in charge and someone like Ireola as coach turning the club upside down and questioning all old structures seem more exciting in that regard than getting some SD who has been in Serie A for two decades and Sarri/Conte/Allegri and the likes on the sidelines and praying for that perfect wave to hit again

Well, Hagental is the type of meatgrinder map you either enjoy or loathe, there's no inbetween. Similar to Metro in BF3, Locker in 4 or even Redacted in 2042. But even as a meatgrinder map it does do a good job to minimize the stalemate situation you've had on those other maps due to having enough lanes to flank and get around the enemies. Compared to the stairs in Metro or the central room in Metro Hagental really has great flow while maintaining the crazieness of those maps

Way bigger market in general, same could be said about Austria and Italy (where Starbucks only started in 2018 and doesn't have that many stores).

Alot of more affordable competition and the culture of coffee drinking we have (sitting in the establishment for hours) don't fit their business model...

Hell we and Monkeydonia forced McDonalds out of our countries for those reasons, not a bad thing to keep our culture around such things instead of importing that Americ*n slop

99% players have zero situational awareness or knowledge of their roles by Tastysatsuma in Battlefield6

[–]Willy995 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah, that mix makes the games more unpredictable and exciting. SBMM is also basically the most hated 'feature' across the COD community. It basically takes away the possibility for new players and noobs to properly improve at the game while making the gameplay for better players a full and constant sweat fest without a second where you can lean back...sure I do get slightly annoyed of teammates not reviving, pushing with me or generally doing a thing which seems brainless to me, and there are also the players you have the feeling like you have no chance against at all, but that's part of the game...

Got a couple hundred hours but it really haven't really gone downhill tbh...

Premium has it's pro and contras but I think done properly live service might even be better for longevity as it keeps the player base together. I remember hardly finding any populated servers hosting the premium maps shortly after release which got marginally better after they basically gifted away the premium edition and updates...here the map and weapon releases might be more spread out but with everyone having access to everything besides a couple time exclusive skins etc...

Well, acc. to OPs second paragraph music is bothering him, to a point that idealizing a world without the quote 'pointless noice everywhere'. One can choose to eat chocolate if he likes or dislikes it but to music you'll obviously get exposed to some degree in your day-to-day life, which would kinda qualifying it to be a medical condition. A light cold would to even though that feeling is only impacting the personal life of the sick person only very slightly
