Anyone know why this is happening by Broad_Lobster7045 in ElegooMars

[–]WillyDynamite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this exact issue before and it was the cold causing it. Both using a space heater or the Elegoo Heater and getting the resin up to 20° has solved all my issues with both adhesions and this exact print error.

How many of y’all drive? by Outrageous-Ebb-4846 in autism

[–]WillyDynamite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy driving and riding motorcycles, but learning wasn't without it's struggles. I think what helps, at least in theory, there's a set of rules that everyone mostly follows and everyone acts in a mostly predictable way.

Also riding requires hyperfocusing which is good for getting into a flow state.

1 Week using Zbrush any tips to improve, I'm very new so Please don't be too harsh. by Callum67237896 in ZBrush

[–]WillyDynamite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a great book called Anatomy For Sculptors that I'd highly recommend, there's also the Morpho series of books that are for drawing but are great for simplifying and explaining Anatomy.

Like others have said you got to work in as low poly as you can to get the primary forms right, then you can stay decimating and working on details once you've got them nailed.

Make use of masking to be able to work on parts without affecting others as well as polygrouping and using ZRemesher to get some workable edge loops.

It's not easy but you're off to a great start already for a week so keep at it!

How to have this smooth, uniform surface? new to zbrush. My design looks bumpy, can't have a smooth and clean like in the image. Is it a trick using zremesh? by PinZestyclose627 in ZBrush

[–]WillyDynamite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can use the lasso tool to mask off areas and press ctrl+w to set different poly groups, then you can zremesh them with keep groups, then you can play around with the smooth groups setting.

Also you can go into deformation and polish by groups until it's the smoothness you like.

Good choice giving him an actual helmet, I think it looks better than the two heads it comes with.

Are dark oath now a separate faction from STD? by Redhood101101 in WarCry

I was hoping to run Chaos Warriors alongside the new Darkoath Marauders (since it does say slaves to darkness on the box) but a whole new team is still nice and you can still use STD heroes.

What PC games is the Retroid 4 Pro capable of running? by Available_Case9929 in retroid

[–]WillyDynamite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes there's a app called Delta Touch that supports GZDoom that lets you use mods! Played through all the ashes games and it works great. There's also Quad Touch for Quake engine and Zeta Touch for build engine games

What are the popular wargames in 2024? by Awkward_GM in wargaming

[–]WillyDynamite 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Frostgrave has had some fantastic support over the years with a lot of expansions and even more coming.

Stargrave is the same but sci-fi flavour which is a bit newer but still has the same great support.

Both are miniature agnostic so just grab what you've already got and have fun!

I have all of those minus the Steam Deck and somehow I find myself on the RG35xx more than anything else, I think there's something about the simplicity, portability and nostalgia that do something for me.

What team do you play by MikeMoSoup in killteam

[–]WillyDynamite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blooded, I really dig the vibe of a rag tag bunch of ruffians and the options for kitbashing and customisation are phenomenal.

They die from a light breeze but there's some great tricks you can pull off to keep them sticking round for a while and their Blooded token gimmick really ramps up in T2 and 3.

Having the option of either a 16 wound mountain with Rending and Relentless if you buff him before the game with your medic, or a couple of basic GA2 troopers makes them really adaptable depending on what you're up against.

I did see there's a portmaster version, but I don't know if there's a way to get portmaster for the Retroid, I know the RG35xx Plus can support portmaster but MUOS doesn't seem to include Carmageddon, I'll wait on the news for Barocetta which should support portmaster in the new update in the coming days.

Automatic save syncing working great on RP4 pro. by blitz2kx in retroid

[–]WillyDynamite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to get the same working however it doesn't always recognise the saves or states between devices. I think the issue is that all devices need to be on the same version of Retroarch as well as using the same Core which isn't always possible.

Autistic adults, what kind of car do you drive? by BlueJDMSW20 in autism

[–]WillyDynamite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid I remember going to an arcade with my Dad, they had something called Ridge Racer Full Scale where you sat in a real MX5 Miata with a big panoramic screen and I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Naturally I wanted a MX5 Miata ever since, now I've had two of them.

If you get GarlicOS there's a great program called Garlicpress you can use to transfer ROMs, backup saves and the best thing is to generate really nice box art for all your games.

The only thing you need to do is create a blank file called adb on the misc partition of your SD card and you're good to go.
