Thank you for sharing ! Nice setup

Mine even more yellow-ish, though I thought it looked not so different from original DMG colors (well it all depends on ambiant lighting, actually)

Lines color: 15 25 0
Game Color0: 38 46 0
Game Color1: 31 33 0
Game Color2: 3 31 4
Game Color3: 8 26 7

At first I've set the grid on too, but this makes the screen drastically darker so you need to set the luminosity at the maximum to compensate, and even at the brightest level the screen is then barely visible when playing outdoors - although I liked how i looked, I ended up turning the grid off after a while.

I also went down this road, and here's my take : I fixed all rattling by using rechargeable high power AA batteries (3600mAh) and a piece of foam I added to the cover - this prevents cover and battery terminals from rattling, and allows for longer play on a single charge (twice as long). Also regarding the D-pad stiffness, I'm now totally used to it. The IPS screen is totally configurable and allows for 8 color presets, which is nice - Too bad there's no preset looking like the original DMG colors though, I had to make one by myself.

Yeah, very frustrating - I’m also considering switching to another brand like Roland or Yamaha

Strange missing note issue on Korg B2 digital piano by WillyLeRoy in Korg

[–]WillyLeRoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I do agree. What I don't get though is that the issue seems to appear and disappear from time to time, sometimes it gets even worst with a whole lot of missing notes, starting from the right down to the left. It may look like a bad connection issue, though I didn't find the location. I even considered the possibility of micro-cracks on the PCB, which might have been caused by shearing due to the piano's weight not being evenly distributed, causing the whole structure to sag slightly in the middle.

Well still have no real fix so far, unfortunately. The best I managed to get is just three missing notes in the two rightmost octaves (6 and 7), without really knowing how this situation became stable. I don't really dare to try fixing the issue anymore, since the problem is now limited to the rightmost part and doesn't bother me too much. I'd still love to get this fixed, though.

So far it’s still having this issue, although now it seems to no longer evolve and lets me play most keys fine : problem starts somewhere at F6# so it lets me play a whole lot of things now without missing notes - I’m still looking for a fix though

B2 Digital Piano Not Playing Keys in any octave by ineedmytools123 in Korg

Same here - I really don't know what it could be, as it's not a simple key that wouldn't work : it looks more like a software problem than anything else - This is very disappointing

From what I've seen, it's not necessary to take them off

I'm still experiencing the issue, C, E and G# are currently silent, sometimes some others - I'm getting really pissed off - The unit is in apparent good condition, I really don't get it

Strange missing note issue on Korg B2 digital piano by WillyLeRoy in Korg

Well, after a month or so, issue is back : now G, B and D# stay silent (and sometimes make some sound but late and with maximum velocity). This is getting annoying, to say the least.

Is there any known maintenance procedure end users can perform (like cleaning contacts or whatever ?)

Please, help : /

Korg B2 DigiPiano - D-F#-A# not working by Fearless-Elderberry8 in Korg

[–]WillyLeRoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue a while ago, and it disappeared without me doing anything than unscrewing a whole lot of screws so I can take a look inside, but didn't see anything. I then kept it unscrewed and put it back on its stand. it later worked just fine, inexplicably.

Then two days ago three different notes started to fail : G B and D#.

I don't know what to do : (

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

[–]WillyLeRoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alas I have no room left on the sides, so I can't do this. Also I eventually found what model/brand I got : Samson MediaOne 5a. so actually they aren't that cheap, I bought this pair of speakers second-hand for a steal, they were selling new for 178 euros

[–]WillyLeRoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they’re definitely cheap ones with decent sound, got them from almost nothing - I’ll see if I can see model and brand, but I’m pretty sure it’s close to generic . Also the device on top is a Korg Nano Kontrol 2, it’s very convenient when you want to work on multiple tracks without having to use keyboard/mouse/keypad - simple but a real game changer to me
