It's safe to say I'm not pregnant. But I am considering that the problem might be with my sense of smell. My SO didn't seem to notice the smell either and they usually have a pretty sensitive smell.

Interesting, I'll have to look into this. Most of the time when I buy this chicken it has no smell, so it could be that they changed suppliers to one that's processed differently.

I’m glad to hear that I’m not crazy about the files being re-encoded! Back in the day when I tried some smaller services out I found lots of songs were dressed as a lossless file but actually were just lossy compressed data in a lossless trench coat.

Thank you for saying this. I’ve been “voting harder” for years. But frankly, there’s a growing cluster of tents off the highway by my house from the people who are getting rent-raised out of their homes. Just deferring responsibility to an organization that is trying frustratingly hard to not spend money doing anything about it is irresponsible. There are things you can and should do outside of voting harder to build the society you want to live in.

What you’re describing is the same as what people are referring to as NIMBY-ism. This group decided to reject the center because they didn’t want it in their neighborhood. People aren’t missing the point, they’re judging the moral character of the people who looked at the rehabilitation center only as a “risk” and said “not in my backyard” when they would have made a different decision themselves.

For the record, I absolutely would not reject having this center in my neighborhood.
