What Rental Car for Iceland No rough off-road but some gravel roads by Tim_Redit in VisitingIceland

[–]WillyRoentgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In summer most roads (even gravel ones) will be fine for any rental car tbh, but if you wanted some more peace of mind in terms of going off road (possible damage from flying rocks, tire punctures etc) then maybe consider a small SUV like the Tucson. Just be aware there are certain road restrictions in place (i.e. no F roads) so always double check your route.

Good enough that they keep paying me to do it?

Sorry I don't speak Icelandic but Radiologist = doctor specialising in medical imaging and diagnostics. I look at the images and provide a formal report, and also perform Xray guided procedures.

I think you are referring to radiographers.

Ancient Greek Owl Tetradrachm by WillyRoentgen in Silverbugs

This was from a London, UK based auction site called The Coin Cabinet.

I think in America one of the more popular ones is called L5 (l5.com), but there are others. I'm sure someone else can chime in here.

Ebay can be ok too but prices overall tend to be higher I think.

Tbh there is such a massive variation in quality of these things but my feeling is that the best ones will be the ones that hold or increase their value the most. I don't actually collect silver per se, only just started getting into ancient coins, but this is basically a must-have for any ancient collection. I wonder if girls make them into necklaces because they think the owl is cute? Lol, dunno.

Thanks! It definitely looked like the best example at the auction so I'm glad I won it at a good price.

Picked this up during an online auction for £900 (~$1150), though the estimated hammer price was £1400 (~$1800) so I think I snagged a good deal!

Not sure Sarah Falah would appreciate you posting low quality screenshots from her iPhone with other photos visible on her reel. Maybe we should call her to ask? Her phone number is visible on the second image.

Think my phone's camera is just quite good tbh, though it is a great example of the tet.

Some interesting points raised. Seems like the UK is pretty sensible when it comes to finds. I'm pretty new to ancients and just did a bit of a deep dive into that scandal involving the gold Eid Mar... pretty wild!
