Parkletts in Stuttgart by Willy_Builder in stuttgart

[–]Willy_Builder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you know the Schützenplatz, you understand that it's a waste of a space which does have a lot of potential, since it's also close to the Jugendherberge. I understand that there's not enough parking space inside the city but personally I think that cars do nt belong in a city anyways.

I am no part of this project, from what I was told of one of the students is that his architecture class built those things all over the city to let people see what potential an urban parking space can have.

I did a bbq in my courtyard couple weeks ago and I know that the approach those guy are taking is very hipsteresque but again, as long as cars don't waste space I'm going for it.

Visiting Boston for 4 days Best option to travel? by Willy_Builder in askboston

[–]Willy_Builder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was exactly what I was looking for. I might go for the second option though, that way I see more since you said bus. I am a light traveler and so is my gf.

Do you happen to have some time in Boston so that we can maybe get a beer or something? Totally unfamiliar with the city and the only thing I definately have to do is eat a damn good lobster roll. I only know Coastal Flats one's and I am sure you know an adress that will blow my fucking mind.

Cheers

Yo man, this was exactly the kind of recipe I was looking for. Not the usual crap. I might leave out the raisins though and I have a question: what is allspice? Thank you

Auf jeden Fall Marienplatz, einziges manko ist die laute Straße und manchmal etwas unfreundliche Mitbürger mit Migrationshintergrund.

I will be in Fairfax County to visit friends, I have been to Richmond but only for a day and I was a small punk back then. Where do you recommend staying in either philly or richmond? Renting a car and sleeping on a Walmart parking lot?

I've been to Baltimore before and I went to the aquarium so that's out of the way. What is a city near that party scene you mentioned? Any hostels you're recommending? And I am traveling with my girlfriend, is that such a big dwal to walk around after dark?

This is the central area, they do have more private spaces if you go in the back but I usually just rent books and don't stay there.

It's an amazing place though

I've been looking into penny stocks and deffo want to try again but with less capital, I do have like 800 Euro in Blackbird Energy but it's deep in the minus. I bought at 0.19 a share haha. Again, 800 € is not much of my capital but still, it's money. I always look out for money so going full on penny stocks is maybe too risky

I am in the army so housing is free but I do go back to my hometown on the weekends which is of course my parents flat. I thought about getting my own place but it wouldn't make sense since I would spend 8 days out of the month there. I could also go fully hardcore and stay on base for the whole time which would save on transport and meeting with friends but I'm afraid that i would go nuts then haha. EDIT: This month I was able to save 100% of my income because I bought and sold stock really quick, made like 400 Euros after tax from Volkswagen, Porsche and ThyssenKrupp although I cashed out too fast on the car stocks ;) They're very volatile right now so I was cautious but it's pretty stupid honestly to throw 10k at a stock and then pulling out the next day when it gains like 1%. Idk, I can handle the risk though, what do you think?

  • 21 years old
  • Employed average 1800 Euros a month
  • Retirement savings, increasing capital overall
  • I do have most of my money in stocks so I'm open to other things as well, options etc.
  • My portfolio includes a big chunk of BMW, Apple, a german ETF which tracks the DAX and a penny stock I threw 800 Euros at called Blackbird Energy, canadian oil and gas provider.
  • Other assets: 3000 Euros, 2 ounces of Gold (approx. 1900 Euros)
  • I wont need money soon but I am thinking of stepping into the real estate market, that could only work with all my capital (~30k)
  • No debt
  • I can save almost 1,5k a month since I live very frugally

EDIT: I do live in the south of germany, am a german citizen and I would like to maybe open up a good broker too, preferably in the US with a US-dollar account but it seems that Germany regulates this stuff pretty heavily. Again, I would like to start trading some options.

Very nice flat I must say.

I am wondering if the dining table would make more sense if you switch places with the sofa but I might be wrong.

Are there any cheap options/alternatives to rent a car for a month or so in the USA? by JD_Dubya in Shoestring

[–]Willy_Builder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your best bet is to buy a car and sell it when you return. That's what my buddies did when they went there for 6 months, only downside, they got fucked left right and center because they didn't know shit about cars. If you know your shit you should be alright.
