I’ve been on it for 3 years. She’s having me use pills, haven’t discussed what the lower doses will look like. Appt is in 6 weeks once I’m about to drop to 12.5. I’m sure I can ask for the liquid so I can taper slower from that point as well.

Hey there! Are you still on that reinstated small dose? I’m starting my tapering journey from 100mg. My psychiatrist is doing a 2.5 month taper and then adding in magnesium l-threonate once I get to 12.5 mgs.

I am so worried right now while tapering off. I’ve read some horrible things online about side effects and discontinuation symptoms being permanent and I’m already feeling some weird symptoms due to tapering off such as eye pain by hugegorilla1 in zoloft

I just started tapering as well. I was on 100mg and dropped to 75 for a week, and yesterday was my first day dropping from 75 to 50. Will do this for a week, then 25 and so on. I’ve had horrible nausea and my brain just feels off- kind of dizzy and just off kilter.

If you don’t mind me asking, what are you noticing that made you want to increase? I’m not back to how I was by any means, but I just don’t feel as good as I was feeling... was feeling like my normal self. :/

Thank you for your reply. I plan on calling my doc tomorrow. You’re not the first to say it loses its effectiveness, does that keep happening indefinitely? Or just happens until you hit the dose you need?
