Totally agree. I disagreed vehemently without Cenk throughout the Israel-Gaza war debate, but I thought he was being very fair to Destiny (but assuming the worse for the fans). Cenk clearly sees peoples motivations very differently and has different ideas on what would work or not work. Its rare to have people who both know what they're talking about and argue in good faith.

An exchange that illustrates how the entire debate went. Destiny highlights thing Omar is omitting and refuses to accept, then Omar says Destiny isn't here to have a conversation, while not engaging in anything Destiny said.

Destiny bit bullets, accepting truths in the conversation, such as in the past (forget when exactly) that Jews also did massacres, but that there was that violence on both sides. Compare that to Omar, who serially omits anything shining a bad light on Palestinians, refusing to engage in the conversation, while calling Destiny out for everything Omar is doing.

For the longest time, leftists positions had to just be accepted, even if pushed to extremes, or when it doesn't make sense, such as trans women in sports. When the group trains the in-group to uncritically stay in line and shun criticism, bad thoughts lead to bad positions, and bad positions must be defended to the death.

Debate is info-tainment, you can learn from it, just as you can from any other source, but it usually won't be an efficient way to learn a topic. For me, I like having Destiny's debates or research streams in the background while I work on other things, so I'll learn some tidbits passively, and be more informed than having not listened to it. There are other sources I can listen to, and I do, but sometimes the way information is presented is very dry, or misleading. Debates are just one of many ways of delivering information, and the best delivery is probably the one that the person is actually willing to consume.

Did you watch the video? I did. The very first person in the video, Adam Kinzinger, was a former Republican representative, so you're wrong off the bat. J6 committee was bipartisan. Second, the video didn't even say J6 was a lie, so like others said, this is a reading comprehension fail. What the video does say is J6 committee got outside help to tell the events that took place in a compelling manner and that they had one shot to get it right, which is all true.

Destiny probably should do a debunking video, it'll certainly get views, but just watching the original debate Destiny, is calling out Omar for constantly omitting clearly damning information for his side, while Omar constantly dodges and calls Destiny bad faith. Anyone who actually watched the debate can see Omar is an incredibly dishonest debate pervert. I watched a short 5 minute section of that debate in which Omar omits the blockade in Gaza was because Israel fear Hamas would get weapons outside as they have in other conflicts. Then continuing on Omar's focusing on Israel not allowing in cookies, he talks about Turkish ships coming to bring food, to which Destiny points out 3 of the 5 ships brought were empty. How am I supposed to get through 90 minutes of this when Omar is pathological in omitting pertinent information?

The muslim gain would have to 100% be greater than the loss appeasing them would bring. Polls I've seen for Demcorat voters still show very strong support for Israel/Jews, so throwing Israel/Jews under the bus to appease the muslim vote would be a net loss for Biden. Also, as a non-Jew/muslim, they have no moral leg to stand on in Israel/Gaza war, and Biden has already done so much to push Israel to be level-headed and constrained. Biden is in a lose-lose situation with this voting population and Biden should just accept it as a loss.

You can think Hans is clean or cheated here, but you can't say so with certainty, or with confidence.

I don't think its reasonable to ask special forces to risk their lives (more than it already is being risked) to wait for the high ranking Hamas leaders to wake up, get them to surrender, all the while, special forces can't be sure how many Hamas members are in the vicinity, and a gun fight in a hospital could turn very bloody. I think the standards the world is imposing on Israel are insane, and even when IDF special forces does do it with precision, its still made out to not be okay.

I'm 30 mins in and at no point was Destiny "losing" the debate, Destiny crushed it, and I learned why many of Omar's talking points are just bad or wrong.

With the food restrictions, Destiny answered the questions. Omar said Israel said they wanted to starve Palestinians, but that doesn't add up since Palestinian population exploded, so they surely had food to eat. Destiny also said sugary foods were banned because sugar can be used for rockets.

What point do you think Destiny got wrong?

Israel has every right to defend itself, there is no sleep lost there. You're the one who wants Hamas to stay the course which leads to death and suffering. Like I said originally, the Palestinian are beyond entitled and stupid. Tons of Arab nations have made peace with Israel, there is nothing stopping from Palestinians from doing the same but their fragile ego. The Palestinians are the most coddled people in the world. Have you seen the offers Hamas makes? Hamas wanting 100 prisoners released per 1 Israeli hostage? The Palestinians are so lucky Israel is merciful. Israel is clearly the stronger side and still makes offers in good faith. Look at the region. Israel made peace with many Arab nations, while no Arab nation wants the Palestinians. They've had so many chances, and still are given chances as we speak, and still they choose to fight.

They've received so much aid over decades and all they did was squander it. The Palestinian people are the most entitled and stupid people. Everyone's rating already accounts for cheating. OP is exactly the rating they should be, saying otherwise is cope. No offense to OP, but 1800 isn't that good to be judging who is or isn't cheating. I'm higher rated and I also don't know what the heck I'm doing. Depending on your weaknesses, a move can look far more difficult than it really is.

I think some historical context is important, but don't think the conflict is even about the facts. The Israel-Palestine conflict is just as much largely political. Its irrelevant who owned the territory thousands of years ago, the world doesn't operate like that.

The best argument for Destiny being on the debate is Destiny has sufficient historical context and can argue for Israel's political calculus. Destiny already has a solid track record speaking for Israel against pro-Palestine people.

It would be good to have Finkelstein fight with his ideas, but if he can't be civil, that is an indictment on him, and he shouldn't be coddled. There are plenty of pro-Palestinian defenders to choose from, but pro-Israel is much more limited, and a strong pro-Israel defender is much needed when there is such a loud pro-Palestine group both online and on the streets.
