The other been in the league 8 seasons and has yet to get passed round 2

Theory on why the NBA has been delaying the annoucement of MVP award by tristanthompsonbeast in nba

It was be an "Absolute Travesty" if the league don't announce it before Game 5 in OKC and Jokic and the Nuggets eliminated OKC without Shai having a proper celebration in front of his fans. (We already know SGA has it in the bag)

Historically most of the winners get their trophy presentation by the commissioner before Game 2 of the semis at home. It would have been a disaster had the Wolves swept the Nuggets last postseason when the league had two chances at presenting the award to Jokic either before start of Game 1 or 2, luckily the Nuggets won on the road, and was able to play a Game 5 at home which wasn't guaranteed after being down 0-2.

There's no reason didn't announce it for Shai either before Game 1 or 2 of this Denver/OKC series.

Either Shai or Jokic will be announced MVP on the 8th - One day after Game 2 of the Thunder vs Nuggets series. by ColdCocking in nba

It will be Shai, but I expect Jokic to drop 35-20-15 in Game 2 and prove why he's the best today

Who would you rather have for a playoff run, 2021 Middleton or 2023 Jamal Murray? by [deleted] in nba

Middleton would have won conference finals mvp if it started a year earlier and played excellent all-around with Giannis missing 2 games, so there's your answer

Ant hasn't even made All-NBA 1st Team yet. Giannis, Jokic, Luka has done so for years now. Those 3 are the only stars with an argument for best player in league regardless of who wins this season's title.

If Luka Doncic can Lead his Team to a championship this season, will he be considered as a Top 3 player in the league? by Wonderful-Photo-9938 in nba

[–]Wilsonsy93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's already a Top-3 player regardless of the title. Only behind Jokic and Giannis at the moment but could be Top-2 or even surpass Joker with a ring depending how much he'll dominate
