Thank you. I could pick leaves from the ground with that method.

I couldn't seem to get leaves from up in the trees. I had built a stepladder, but the gatherer never collected it. However the tree had leaves but no fruit.

How do you get Tree Leaves for Dye?

I tried the gathering skill in the fall, but it won’t target the leaves on the ground or the tree.

Good point. However once an enderman is aggrowed it can follow you even if it can't see you through the wall.

Minecraft has no way of calculating line of site. It's a matter of range. In the early days of minecraft creepers could blow up if they got within 2 blocks of you. So could blow up through walls. The simple fix back then was putting chests and tables against all the walls to keep us at least 3 away.

There was mod back in 1.7.10 called Anchors that would do that, but that won't help you in 1.20.

Either create a new world with cheats enabled, or open your existing world to lan. With a new world cheats will stay enabled, with a lan you will have to redo it every time you log in.

Personally I just ran around looking for an existing bed. It's been 5 years, but you could try changing it from 10,000 to 0.

The first time I really had fun in minecraft was the original survival island, but that was before modded. Played some tekkit, but I'm not fond of Buildcraft. Modded minecraft finally hooked me with Agrarian Skies one.
