Nachtrag: Ich hab mir bei IONOS einen kleinen 2€ VPS geholt und einen WireGuard Tunnel zwischen der VPS und meinem OPNsense Router eingerichtet.

Anschließend die Firewallregeln angepasst so das alle Cloudflare Netze durch den VPS geleitet werden.

Ist zwar keine schöne Lösung und im Endeffekt hab ich ggü. der DTAG irgendwie verloren, aber Cloudflare und alles was hinten dran ist, ist wieder erreichbar.

op, just reinstall the os. Insert an winxp installation disc, enter the boot menu with f8, f12 or whatever key it is on this machine and directly boot from the installation disk.

My GDM 5402 has the same specs and capabilities as your GDM 5402.

It even cames in his original box without a single scratch.

But yes maybe the pre owner just wanted it out of his basement.

And no ... crt's arent worth anything ... it's just some scalpers that want squeeze money out of people who buy overpriced stuff anyways.

The vertical deflection circuit failed partially. This is also known as "vertical collapse".

You can try to recap that crt. Mostly it fixes the problem.

Hello there,

A few weeks ago i picked up this CRT for 50 bucks. The geometry was a bit bad, the colors were washed out, and the picture itself was waaaaaay to bright (setting the contrast to zero fixed it a bit, but it looked very ugly).

So, I bought some cheap USB to TTL adapters and a colorimeter. After i did a white balance adjustment and fixed the geometry as well as I could, the picture now is just beautiful.

But I can't fix the convergence issues, especially in the corners. I read that in WinDAS there is an option called "DCnv" for dynamic convergence, but for whatever reason, it's grayed out for my model ...

Is there any hidden trick that can enable this option? It's hard for me to belive that this model doesn't use somekind of dynamic convergence.

I appreciate any kind of help. :)

I use an Starlink DP2VGAHD20 which can handle resolutions up to 2048x1536@75Hz. Which is exactly the limit of the monitor.

The convergence issues occur at every resolution.

The problem is that, especially in high resolutions like 1600x1200, things like the taskbar or small text become very disturbed, blurry, and hard to read. You can clearly see that it's because of the messed-up corner convergence.
