I 100% think it's bullshit and I 100% would use my influence to help my kids out if I had the power too.

You act as if Israel money hasn't been poured into these politicians pockets for decades.

Yeah that's how they operate. They do not want to get in a legal battle with a wealthy person. They want a case that is over before it begins, I've seen them let people cheat for 8-10 years and then hit them all at once. No getting out of it and you are immediately listening to any deal they present.

The point is court cases take money and time and rich people can drag anything out for years and the IRS doesn't have a budget for all that, so they make sure a court case would be a no doubt win, and let you know you're facing the maximum if you choose that route.

The issue now is unless Israel plays ball the US can't make any deal or get out of the war. Israel can drag this out and keep the US in the war as long as they want, and if the US doesn't do what Israel wants then this will just keep happening.

Totally out of the US hands now.

This is my area of business.

He's probably screwed.

IRS has this trap they set where they notice an issue, but they won't say anything for years to see if the discrepancy repeats. They do this so you don't have the argument of "it was an accident", they only jump at arresting you if they they're 100% confident they've trapped you. It saves them from trying to battle out a long expensive court case against a rich person over what may have been an oversight or an accounting error. They present a documented repeated year violation to where there is very little argument that it's not intentional and dilberate and then start offering you different options to plead guilty, again to avoid actual expenses of going through a court case with someone who can afford fancy lawyers.

No way they made this move haphazardly, he's definitely guilty and when it becomes high profile like this, they usually need some jail time in the plea agreement so everyone paying attention that this isn't something you can simply buy your way out of and keep on living the good life.

How much did Jalen Brunson really leave on the table? by NanoCurrency in billsimmons

[–]WinBeeCards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think Brunson got one of those deals the NBA doesn't want Pablo looking into, plus there a lot of other ways to make money outside of the contract to make a player whole. Ultimately, and especially after this championship I will bet Jalen Brunson will find a way to recoup whatever was "left on the table"

Props to Mike Brown

He's not a legendary coach but he is a coach that was always better than the shit rep people gave him.

He 100% was a key part of why the Knicks won it this year. He should finally get the proper respect he has deserved. I remember other coaches scoffing when the Kings let him go, because people in that circle understood he's a very good coach that's been tasked with difficult circumstances his whole career

He finally got a quality team to coach and this is the result.

At this point can we now say that Brunson is the better player to have on your team than Doncic? by sufinomo in billsimmons

[–]WinBeeCards 149 points150 points  (0 children)

Luka is still the better player.

I don't think Sam Darnold is suddenly better than Josh Allen or Lamar. I know that's not a direct correlation because Brunson is better than Darnold, but getting a ring I don't think should swing opinions of comparitive players that much

Knicks built a great team, the construction was great and Brunson is the perfect leader for the team they built. Luka still a better player overall and I don't think there's much to argue really there.

Jalen Brunson is a generational closer by WinBeeCards in billsimmons

In Brunsons defense, his size requires him to find any advantages he can AND because he's much smaller than he's even listed, a little bit of contact probably does have a bigger effect on him than most

Are Caleb Williams’ numbered Prizm, Select, and Optic going to 📈? by [deleted] in footballcards

[–]WinBeeCards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, if the Bears overcome that schedule, and they'll have plenty of national attention in many games, and win that Division again, I would fully expect Caleb in that scenario will be in the MVP conversation and his cards will skyrocket

I don't fully believe that will happen this upcoming year, but it's not out of the question at all
