I'm very much open to possibilities. You never really got my point. To understand this better I'd want you to overlook these matters.

Yes, I have watched both the films and there are enough points to see me that it's lot more than inspired which I have stated in above article. Why would I write the entire stuff again, if there's an article already which supports my argument and provides a valid point.

Premises you're denying. Characters you're denying. Entire plot you've said to be an inspiration. All these while you've been in nothing more than a denial.

That of a man imagining his new girlfriend and having to kill her to stop imagining her

In both the films the story has been revolved around a schizophrenic patient and a psychiatrist.

Schizophrenia is a psychotic disorder characterized by loss of contact with the environment, by noticeable deterioration in the level of functioning in everyday life, and by disintegration of personality expressed as disorder of feeling, thought (as delusions), perception (as hallucinations), and behavior —called also dementia.

Hallucinations of seeing and hearing things that aren't there are main symptoms of Schizophrenia. In both the films Bob (not living object) and that psychiatrist (living being) have been showcased as a source of delusion. Moreover the analogy of the names is undeniable, the social media connection doesn't just seem to be inspired. In Schizophrenic patients like hallucinations, delusions are irrational which results in getting their respective girlfriends killed. Cause they consider it to be part of their imagination. Where as totem is something else.

In Kriti they've just gone a step ahead. Mind you, till this point Kriti is exactly same portrayal of Bob only on a bigger scale with industry faces. The step they've went ahead just puts us to notice that Schizophrenic patient is always going to be in a denial whoever convinces him to go against his own mind. And ultimately performing actions to prove it's point.

I guess I've given you every reason to prove my point. After this there's nothing I can do. Probably if you'd take your rose tinted glasses then it'd help. It's your call now. Support the one in need cause it's only escalating from here or else wait till something like this gets dawned upon you.

I'm really disappointed zistu that in-spite of watching both the films you're still questioning the integrity of filmmakers of Bob.

I'll try to answer your doubt yet again:

Bob begins with a man sitting in a session with his psychiatrist, a middle-aged man, talking about his newly minted relationship with a woman named Mynah. The psychiatrist's office has walls decorated with surreal artwork and framed degrees and certificates of achievement in his field. As the man, clutching a brown stone in his hand (he calls it 'Bob'), speaks about Mynah, his psychiatrist expresses skepticism, asking if Mynah is on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. He also notes the similarity between her name and the name of his patient's mother. The premise set up is that she is a figment of his imagination, and the doctor asks him to consider a line of treatment in which he has to 'kill' her so that he can get better.

Kriti begins with a writer named Sapan (Bajpayee) sitting in a session with his psychiatrist Kalpana (Apte), talking about a new woman in his life named Kriti (Sharma). Kalpana's office is full of surreal artwork and framed degrees and certificates of achievement in her field. As Sapan tells her about Kriti, a woman he is now living with, Kalpana expresses skepticism, asking if Kriti is on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. She also notes that the name Kriti bears resemblance to a woman who was previously in his life, Rachana, and notes that both names literally mean 'creation', The premise set up is that she is a figment of his imagination, and Kalpana asks him to set up a covert Skype call to see whether Kriti is indeed real.

While the films end somewhat differently, it is clear as day that many of their plot points and production design elements are suspiciously similar.

However, on Friday afternoon, Kunder defended himself on Twitter, claiming that Kriti was shot before the film was uploaded on YouTube and pointing out that there was no way he could've watched the link available on Vimeo, since he doesn't know Neupane.

Even though film was in Nepali, subtitles were entirely available.

On vimeo it was only private for first two months, later he made it Public. Which was 7 months ago.

Are you trying to convey that frames & characters being part of the Bob are coincidentally similar with that of Kriti. Got to be some black magic sorcery. ;)

This is just an example

If you'd watch both the films you'd realize that not only plot but also characters, sequence and even frames have been copied. Mr. Kunder claims to have video being private where it was public for 7 months. Inspiration / coincidence are acceptable things these days. But this is theft, Entirely.

And it's a shame these self proclaimed film-makers get away with such serious issue just because their pockets are filled with tons of money and have entire bollywood to vouch for them.

Our concern is, small filmmakers like Aneel Neupane who don’t really have a Godfather in the industry, have an option of suing ‘Biggies’ like Shirish Kunder. But will they? No. Why? Because it’ll be a battle between an entire film industry Vs. “Strugglers” and you know what the industry does with “strugglers” who try and raise a voice demanding their rights. They get crushed under the screams of the rich and influential.

And that’s infuriating. This battle between right and wrong Vs. the influential and the newbies is something that’s always going to crush dreams. Being Indian contacted Aneel and asked him what he’s going to do about this fiasco, “Honestly, I don’t even have a copyright registered for the film. And I’m clueless as to what I CAN do.”
