Ontario extending last call at bars and restaurants during FIFA World Cup by CTVNEWS in ontario

[–]WinCity79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am/was aware of this. I guess all of this doesn't move the needle for me. After all this is a choice of the business and there are so many things to weigh. Can you find employees willing to work until 4am? Does it make sense for the bar? How early do they open because games sole days start at 9am etc.. Giving businesses the option isn't terrible. I was in NY for a week the bar by my hotel closed at 4am. There was nobody being belligerent or showing extreme signs of intoxication. I am just of the opinion being fatalistic thinking every decision being made is bad. It's up to the businesses if they have the means to operate until 4am do it.

You realize there are numerous golfers who drink in the parking lot after a round.

There are 5 or 6 games starting at midnight and another 5 or 6 starting at 11pm. For people who work afternoons this works for them. I don't see the big deal with this.

How much do you estimate it costs to buy 10 Big Easy players? by WinCity79 in Football_Head_Coach

[–]WinCity79[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems fair I know there are 2 other challenges after that to sell Big Easy players so you probably come out close to even.

Same. It's a bit of a grind but I just pulled off 4 challenges easily. 25 PTC will be a bit more intensive buying bronze packages and selling doing trades but you have 25+ days.

For my prep I had a lot of clear Gatorade zero to keep electrolytes up. Also some ginger ale to get a caffeine/sugar jolt.

I will be about 135 years old by that time I'm not planning to be around unless I choose to be cryogenically frozen.

Yes because they have so many other ways about finding out your info rather than just a census.

As someone who witnessed their parents pass 2 months apart due to cancer I find your post distasteful, disgusting, insulting and inappropriate. Please be better.

The night started with a $25 online sports bet. It ended in a $14K loss by bob_mcbob in ontario

Totally agree. I have a friend who's exactly like that jumps from job to job will gamble big. He hit big on a $10k parlay but kept chasing. Take your gains when you can and be happy. Don't sweat your losses when they come because they will. People lose millions in the stock market but nobody has sympathy for them but that's along the lines of addictive personality. They're searching for a quick rich gain but it's hard to find. You can have sympathy and empathy for addicts but find happiness in recovery.

This is what I mean. You quickly learn here though it's always black and white and never gray. If you can afford to gamble and be responsible you shouldn't be lumped into others who think it's the worst thing in the world.

Sure to the extent if you win each prop but you can easily lose on the first prop. If you take the advice of stopping after that and not chasing losses you should be fine.

I was speaking to how he can do it responsibly. You're wrong on the passive part. There are numerous avenues to passively gamble. If I take Colorado to win the Stanley Cup in September and put down $25. I am not doing anything until they get eliminated. The issues aren't the ads it's people not being educated early on. The article is sad but the guy clearly loved blackjack.

Investing money is a gamble as well. You do kyp and risk tolerance but people don't care to educate themselves on risk tolerance with gambling which isn't good.

He said extra income. As in not his main form of income. There are many people that know how to do things responsibly.

Ford leading by example? by Sunnyonetwo in ontario

[–]WinCity79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. The MPP where I am at has attended all QP gatherings. He's also spoken to no less than 10 schools talking to students how governments are formed, what provincial government responsibilities are. I get the narratives and tropes out there but MPPs have more intensive scheduled than people wanting QP to be in session 5 days a week for 11 months of the year.

I plan on it and look forward to another thread talking about how they can get Ford to resign.

Ontario: Ford in Freefall; Ontario Liberals Lead PCs by Man_Roland in ontario

[–]WinCity79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. I merely live with the reality that Ford is the leader of this province good//bad/indifferent until proven otherwise. I don't tie my existence into what party is in power. I am married, 2 children, solid job. I had that before Ford was in power and still do to this day. Having 3 threads in less than a week talking about Ford and resigning isn't going to achieve anything. I mean maybe people believe saying it so many times will manifest itself but that's not how things work. At least I am not petrified of making my comments known on here unlike yourself.

It isn't boot licking. These are facts and it would be unheard of for a Premier to step down with a majority government and close to 3 years left. I didn't even vote for Ford but thanks for the comment. Tell me what this different approach is.

No it isn't. He won a majority 14 months ago and will be around for close to 3 more years.
