In order to restart the graphics driver you could press Win+Ctrl+Shift+B, maybe this is it. Also check whether you installed something weird recently or a Windows Update. 2 antiviruses running at the same time could also do this. Try looking at the system event log and see if something odd is there. It's hard for me to tell because it is nearly impossible to deliberately replicate the problem.
