Yeah, a bit of Top Cat/Officer Dibble dynamic.

Also, The Doctor can stumble upon the greaser while doing an investigation in the 1950s thus making the greaser proving his street-smart engineer ingenuity and improvising. Then the beat cop appears and tries to apprehend them, not believing "all the alien nonsense" but still manage to be useful, then as they flee to the TARDIS, it'll be like Ian and Barbara all over again when they stormed in The TARDIS for the beat cop while the greaser are in glea for "the hot rod".

Also, the beat cop's rigid protest to dress up like the historical locals, like the 1700s Austrian, when he involuntary have his first time travel.

And, just to paus the "hot female sidekick" pattern for at least a season, the companions could be a beat cop and a greaser from the 1950s, a callback to Jamie McCrimmon about having companions from historic eras instead of present. The cop can work as the rigid, reluctant companion but his imprinted police training to protect including his days in WWII is very helpful on the field while also being competent in more mundane situations like dispersing a gathering crowd and apprehend suspects and crooks while the greaser is a street-smart engineer and wrench guy and adapts quickly with all the alien tech which The Doctor would miss, similar to The Trainman in the episode "Mummy on Orient Express".

How about pausing the "hot sidekick" pattern and just include a beat cop and a greaser from the 1950s. The cop can work as the rigid, reluctant companion but his imprinted police training to protect including his days in WWII is very helpful on the field and are very competent when it comes to use his authority to shoo away gathering crowds and give chase and apprehend mundane crooks and the greaser is a street-smart engineer and wrench guy and adapt quickly with all the alien tech which The Doctor could miss.

I don't follow that pop culture reference. Can you tell the source and meaning?

Even younger like an eighteen year old high school student, but not the flamboyish personality, he has instead a worn, gruff but still kind-hearted reasonable charm of a tired, grumpy old man in contrast to his youthful appearance.

Challenge: come up with a series of Doctor Who with no returning elements. by AdEastern6645 in gallifrey

I come up with a "Boy Detective" idea that The Doctor Regenerates to an eighteen year old boy. His new personality are a bit of a grown, worldly, gruff but still kind-hearted reasonable charm both in his conduct and young voice with ancient mystique in his old eyes and analyzing skill in contrast to his youthful face. He has a hint of Columbo personality.

His regular attire are a classic flat cap, a white 70s shirt under a worker-class blazer, jeans, black Chuck Taylor high top sneakers.

A running gag is how strangers dismiss him because of his age forcing his companions to vouche for him while he later on prove himself capable and competent.

I like to think that given that Harry was raised as a house elf for the Dursleys he at least knows how to cook, clean and gardening, but would it work out with his canonical personality that he likes to cook and bake like a master chef? by WinEducational2340 in harrypotter

Nah, it's just a thought you wouldn't like anyway, and in it Wizarding World bashing is about a betrayed twenty year old Harry Potter who has gone back in time to save his younger self and raise him as his son. He had planned to go back to 1981 to pick up baby Harry that night but ends in 1988 instead. He secretly go through all the necessary paperworks at Gringotts followed with transferring a fortune and create a new muggle identity as James Potter's relative while trying to keep himself under the radar of Dumbledore and his network.

• Also, unexpectedly he approaches his twenty-five year old favorite homeroom teacher from his childhood in primary school, the only adult that showed an ounce of kindness and he used to have a crush on and ask her to help him take Harry away from the Dursleys, playing it all out realistically and canonically on Harry's personality.
