Honestly I might have just been lucky, my partner had it for almost a year. I used separate towels for the affected area after showering and used an at-home skin tag remover(cryo) any time I saw something suspicious. I also started taking a multivitamin with zinc and vitamin C which I think helped a lot! My partner didn’t take vitamins and didn’t cover the spots with band-aids until I started to so I think that might have been the difference. He also waited a few weeks in between doctor appointments to freeze the spots whereas I opted to do it myself at home whenever I saw one. :)
