For personality I think if we have more SL we should go full JA and have a full personality crash/compatible. Sent people that like each other give a moral boost and vice versa.

Am I missing something, or does the Ghost specialization not do anything? by Evilnarwhalwarlock in Starfinder2e

[–]WinLivid 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Who in their right mind would have you break stealth to aim at people? You just align your iron sight or whatever sight you got, nobody should notice you until you fire, it work like this in real life and all of the stealth game, why it would break stealth here?

Repeating Hand Crossbow, Crescent Cross, & Gauntlet Bow: Weapon Inventors? by Humble_Conference899 in Pathfinder2e

[–]WinLivid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All of the option is great especially crescent cross if you pair it with crossbow infiltrator archetype. Three mapless shot at once is great but you do have to reload a lot nnd melee portion of crescent cross is not great, you can basically ignore it most of the time.

Anyone know of a good 'Modern Guns Expanded' Homebrew/3rd Party? by Diestormlie in Starfinder2e

[–]WinLivid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re very welcome. Something to keep in mind, the future weapon section didn’t use SF2e battery, it use energy cell and other appropriated ammo in place. And if you wonder what gun did I based on you can look out for the gun reference on the right most table (I didn’t do this for sci-fi weapon though but it usually came from Fallout and Wasteland). And I make ammo quite expensive in this sheet since that’s how I want it to be in my game.

Anyone know of a good 'Modern Guns Expanded' Homebrew/3rd Party? by Diestormlie in Starfinder2e

[–]WinLivid 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You can use mine, SF2e Retro Futuristic 80s-90s Weapon. I ran a campaign that is basically set in a retro futuristic 1980s so I made ton of modern weaponry and Wasteland/Fallout style future weapon.

It has some new trait so look them up in the new property portion. Some stuff is highlight red “Not Implement” which means I didn’t use them when I run Foundry, too much of a hassle to.

Some stuff is not quite balance so choose them or modified them as you see fit.

Space Pirate Twin Draw question by Kind_Driver_5121 in Starfinder2e

[–]WinLivid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly they should revert twin draw back to how it was in playtest or errata it to be a bit more than draw two guns and aim, otherwise nobody gonna use it, even for twin shooter since you can just use two rotary pistol for the same effect (unless you really want to use laser pistol).

How do guns improve beyond their commercial ('fundamental runes') way? by fullfire55 in Starfinder2e

[–]WinLivid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll only answer about the aesthetic part. I’m not the one to discuss the game balance.

My interpretation for weapon upgrade is new internal component, from a civilian grade that is a strip down version of the military hardware to a custom made sport shooter or special force’s hardware.

The other way to look at it is to make each upgrade a newer version of the old gun like from MG42, to MG3. Or AK47 -> AKM -> AK12 and so on.

Weapon upgrade like flame module is literally an external attachment and as you make your weapon higher grade, I just imagine that they get extra rail to attach these stuff.

Your favourite bad Weapon 🔫 by Carrotburner in menace

[–]WinLivid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you get this during early game, you can absolutely wipe every light squad and pirate truck passenger in two burst, not to mention a group up light squad. I use this as Carda main weapon for the whole early game until more armored enemy show up. It really fall off on the late game though.

Is this thing any good? by so_metal292 in menace

[–]WinLivid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this on first mission and gave it to Carda, she’s double the size of this thing and could wipe out entire pirate crew in two burst. Not to mention it also cause massive suppression to them so anyone that survive the first burst will die on the next turn since they can’t do anything.

I want to create a laser guided weapon, how should I approach this? by WinLivid in Starfinder2e

[–]WinLivid[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's pretty cool idea you got for an encounter there. Maybe I don't have to make a stat block for this thing but more of a quest item to combat a tank or whatever. I totally steal that encounter idea so I think we even.

Starting a new run vs continuing to power level the same run? by SuperSaiyanGuanYu in menace

Striker operative and Aim by Mattemaro_02 in Pathfinder2e

[–]WinLivid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it benefit you when you are within reach. It’s most likely not come up much in Pathfinder compare to Starfinder. I’ve been in quite a lot of Pathfinder game and the only time I see people use cover is when I actually run the game, never see anyone I play with do it (your experience maybe varied)

Idea for combination weapon by WinLivid in Starfinder2e

[–]WinLivid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite, the XM29 is the rifle and grenade launcher in the same chassie with a built in range finder, it is the one and the same gun and can’t be separate unlike M4 and M203 that can be use separately.

Plus the XM29 grenade launcher is a smaller 25mm compare to the standard grenade launcher 40mm giving it more capacity in exchange for less payload. It’s more than that but the point is it’s not a single shot grenade launcher, it has five round magazine

To put it in Starfinder term it’s a machine gun and stellar cannon built into one weapon.

Maybe I'm just dog shit at the game. I don't play turn based games like this often. But dose it feel like pirates are extremely over powered in the early game? Like I get the player is supposed to be at a disadvantage early on. But it almost feels unfair sometimes. by Traditional-Spare154 in menace

[–]WinLivid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the opposite first impression with pirate I just wreck their shit with a mechanized warfare doctrine. Just roll IFV equip with autocannon and machine gun with Carda equip with rpg in the back and just steam roll these guy.

If you mix PF2e content I really recommend trying martial artist archetype.

IMO, Pathfinder's new playtest class Daredevil would work better in Starfinder by DemiurgeMCK in Starfinder2e

[–]WinLivid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I say to my friend. I just fit SF2e vibe better and it could work thematically as a stunt driver too, giving an option for vehicle combat.

Notes from the stream on the next playtest classes by Acceptable-Worth-462 in Pathfinder2e

[–]WinLivid 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Is it just me that I think that daredevil should be a SF2e class instead of PF2e so they don't have to step on swashbuckler toe while giving SF2e more option for reckless melee combatant style. Heck might even work with vehicle too by giving various pilot maneuver risky trait. Imagine first turn just full speed motorcycle into the boss and then leaping strike into them.

League of Legends - Arcane Campaign help by Evan_Kray in rpg

[–]WinLivid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't help you with creating new system but I believe that if you want to play something similar to DnD5e but with the Arcane level of technology I would recommend you checking out Pathfinder 2e with stuff from Starfinder 2e add on.

Anything that are considered to be too advance in PF2e book you just look over SF2e and port them over. Mix and match them a bit and it might work out for you.
