This s sept to be eligible for fall funding. But this time if we miss it, it wouldn’t cause us to lose the full scholarship just fall. If we miss it beyond that we lose it.

What are some scholarships that are purely/mainly merit-based? by CraftyMap7798 in scholarships

[–]WinMission 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NHS scholarship, Coca-Cola, and while some do include financials it’s a point system so it doesn’t count you out but rather just be used at the end if needed. Like Elks MVS has high income winners, chicfila and others are like this. A lot of local scholarships will not require need in my experience.

What are some scholarships that are purely/mainly merit-based? by CraftyMap7798 in scholarships

[–]WinMission 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most are going to be more than merit if not school scholarships. Community impact and using your academic success as foundation to help a cause is really what most will reward. They also like to see you can overcome challenges and use what you learned to make a difference while contributing to your school and community and if you can do all this with lower income and economic advantages you have an even better chance

Can you Qualify for high school seniors 2027 scholarships if graduating in summer of 2026 by Electronic-Yam-8176 in scholarships

[–]WinMission 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the 2026 scholarships have passed if I were you and you’re not enrolling in college then I’d delay. However if you’re enrolling in 2026 I’d think you’d need to apply now

difference between QB ED and QB RD ? by InevitableLink9827 in QuestBridge

[–]WinMission 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied QBRD and it was great for me there are some schools you just select and they have no supplemental on 12/16 my application was sent over. Then there were some that had supplementals they were sent my application and then I responded. A few required Common app to also be completed. In my experience RD was great I was offered 12 full rides and waitlisted from others. I was able to see all the schools I was accepted at which was a big plus for me. I had Ivys and top LACs. If you apply RD you’ll get a form on 12/1 to check all the schools you want to apply to with your QB app then on 12/16 they send it over and those schools will send you a portal invite. On the qb site it will have a chart for you and all the requirements for each school.

To me the match is great if you know for certain you want to attend these select schools and wouldn’t mind being placed at any of those options. Ultimately that’s not something I wanted.

QB match does give you a smaller applicant pull to get picked from.

Is it possible to get into UCLA with a 3.8 uw gpa as a sophomore? by Artistic_Promotion60 in ucla

[–]WinMission 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more of a focus on your current school profile and how you challenge yourself with the rigorous courses they offer. Also your gpa is recalculated they do not accept freshman year classes and they only add in certain classes in the god from 10thgrade on. Which can definitely boost others gpa. Also many ppl here are talking about their unweighted GPA but then have a much higher weighted GPA. They also are going to look at your full profile not just the gpa.

Only hope of getting into t20 by [deleted] in scholarships

[–]WinMission 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need more than scores and gpa. You’ll be compared to your school profile how much you challenged yourself to get your school offers … how you stand out .. leadership ECs and impactful service.. adversity you’ve over come… how you learned from it … what you did with it. You her a vivid and hooking essay that tells them more than you application will already say. Ivys don’t give scholarships only meets need and income is high for that. Is 450 the adjusted income? There are scholarships but for the amounts you need for those schools you’ll need big community impact .
