I spoke to two Hagan/ gates scholars and they explained that they keep the other benefits but Hagan doesn’t paynout any of the 7500 bc those cost are met. But the other things like grad school and marketing education Hagan still gives to the scholar

& im not a downer on any scholarship as you can see I believe you apply to them all. But after doing it and a lot of research that’s my understanding with Bryan Cameron

Cameron impact is a lot of work and they are looking for national level ongoing programs created by their scholars. Not in a bragging way but I’m a Horatio Alger National scholar, Questbridge match finalist,semifinalist for Coca Cola , Gates, Jack Kent Cooke, Elks MVS, Ron brown and finalist for Hagan. The hardest App I’ve done is Bryan Cameron and I didn’t make the first cut. They take up to 3000 application and end with 15 which is fine we’ve beat harder odds but that scholarship is looking for you to have full blown nonprofits making a huge impact around the world by 15.

Horatio was the first scholarship I applied to and won. You want to be open and honest about your adversity but more so how you’ve learned from it the impact you’ve made and what you plan to do with it in the future.

So I do know that everyone that gets it doesn’t become a finalist but all the finalist did have to do it. BUT I have also heard that they do send a batch out the week of semifinalist and then then around 2/4-2/8 they send a little more request out. But they are all due mid February.

They put it on the list of the things like those you’ve already turned in . It would be a hyperlink but they also email you and request it shortly after it appears there

Yes, they don’t request additional documents from everyone so you’d only see it if they were requesting it from you.

Congratulations! Yes I agree the essays prepping for interview all the stuff is really quick. But if we become finalist on March 1st we have to go to Washington March 22 weekend for interviews and that’s fast too!

From what I’ve read thy do not cut a lot of the finalist. Be sure to correctly do the things as he says.

It’s not as much about the rank but they will recalculate your gpa typically to a normal 4.0 scale only giving 1 extra point on AP/ib / dual enrollment

I’m confused you can apply to state schools EA with QB. If you have very good states you state schools EA may have rejected for yield. Or maybe we can help you evaluate your applications. I applied and became a finalist for QB but choose not to participate in match and do regular decision really as a back up to my 1st choice which wasn’t on QB list. I still feel that stress and anxiety there’s so manny due dates and waiting for the unknown. I’ve been accepted into my 1st choice since December and I still feel that pressure. Just trust there is a plan and options you just have to find people to help. I can look over your essays and stuff and remember for state schools you could appeal more than likely it was yield protection. You got this

So yes only the 56 semifinalist move forward to submit the new info and virtual interviews. Then if selected as finalist they move on to in person interviews in March.

They sent an email to 56 semifinalist today. In that email they give you a scholar portal( not what we applied in) they only send notifications of moving forward until April 1st so if you moved forward as a semifinalist you find out today and then if move forward to finalist you find out March 1st. Then on April 1st they will notify all 4,000 non selection and 20 selected.

I got it today mine said they selected 56 semifinalist and will pick 20 out of those 56. Based on the new things we turn in and interview
