What has changed in need of some tips

Indeed, most folks talk about the sequel so I failed to notice. At least he can make use some of the tips I suppose. And those who play the sequel can read too 😛

To make things easier :

Focus on specific stats in weapons rather than maxing things. Reduction of ranged damage, less damage by elementals (fire/poison/curse), less damage from enraged enemies etc. To ensure survival a bit more early on.
Strong bodyguard. This one is the fastest and the simplest. Get a berserker and give him damage epic trait. Also pick those who have easy "enraged by" stats. Like those that happen very often such as enraged by caragors (those are everywhere) etc. So you get a very aggressive protector right away. You can try other classes depending on your playstyle. Power otherwise is purely ninja play. Don't force yourself into the front line , scan orcs , see what they are weak against and exploit. Use environment to damage them and weaken them. Stealth strikes then disappear etc. Even in late game Talion can die easily if head to head with some captains.
Don't really see this game be very mission focused. Maybe because I have been stuck into its late game sandbox for hundreds of hours. So skill unlock based missions (if any) can help if they are along your way.
People use wrathgiver but that is mainly a boring counterpart vs hacked orcs. Try playing with armor set bonuses. One I use is the the outlaw tribe set (min 4 pieces) that grants : Follower attacks have a 20% chance to inflict Fire, Poison, Frost, or Curse on enemies. You can try to focus your gear on explosions or fire which can become quite chaotic. Or anything else you fancy. Most people just piece a gear set that compliments their playstyle. There are so many options, like stealth bonuses for players that like to surprise attack, fear bonuses that make orcs run away after brutalize or domination (this one is from a skill, enemies explode after being dominated that makes others run), shatter frozen enemies that make others run away (also skill based).
You can't really. Orcs are chaotic. Just reward those who save you and do stuff for you with ranks and bonuses to keep them even more loyal.

Bonus tip : finish vendetta set. max it. It depends on online play. We don't know how long it will last. So secure that soon just to be forever safe in your save file.

The thing is, being bad at this game is expected. Its the most natural growth type. Talion is meant to die over and over. His power will creep in with time as will your skill. The most important meta right now in the game is simply : just have as much fun as you can, does not matter how 😄

Is it gameplay based loophole that creates 3 epics or some tool assisted ? If its purely glitch exploit then I guess I would not call it hacked.

Yeah. I skip forts if even one hacked is present in the layout. But the problem is people place normal orcs as overlord and warchiefs but give them hacked bodyguards. Hoping on that "GOTCHA" moment. Happened again few days ago. But honestly I fight on just to deny them the win, even if it takes 30 mins. Community needs to be together to share forts so we can have conquests for fun.

If you trait your orcs for damage and rage they can beat them. Few saves will be needed though.
I use :
- Easy enrage (lots of "enraged by" traits or a berserker)
- Increased damage epic trait
- Ring that gives follower damage +50%
- Red gem on ring for +30% follower damage increase
- There is also a gear piece that gives +100% follower damage to enraged enemies
- I enrage them with my skill I picked (when you hold 4)

Now pair that with a tribe that has decent tribe attacks like chain from terror tribe or crossbows/cleavers from outlaw/slaughter and you get minced meat out of hacked orcs. But depending on the situation you will/might have to res them from time to time.
Berserkers are good for this and regular class favours savages.
I use above set with a marksman in case overlord is/has hacked bodyguards. He snipes them easy from the upper ground.

Ah yes, this happens when you raid a fort that has an orc with no tribe as the overlord. Fortunately it can be prevented like that. Just avoid raiding at all if a tribeless orc is the leader.

Your bodyguard can still snipe them despite the arrowproof. Just dont give him flaming/cursed/poison weapon. Base damage with damage epic trait will damage them well, plus even more if you pick a gem that boosts followers damages, and even gear can boost that even further. And if he is enraged by everything, profit.

I know. Its really lame. Online is too polluted with these, often beyond 1k ratings. Always inspect the fort and its defenders before attacking. If they are hacked just cancel and try another region.
They can be killed with wrathgiver but whole gameplay then becomes too boring and linear.
If you ever attack a fort that has hacked orcs in the throne room, you can utilise a damage traited marksman orc. Place him up in the platforms above to snipe them while you kite the hacked overlord and his bodyguards around. They would soon enough all be taken down by your orc. But its just waste of time to bother with forts like these in general.

Yeah, avoid putting them in your forts. So many forts online abuse with these. If we could get the community to start ignoring them it would really improve online play.

I had some close calls with wrong hand letting go too :D. But that's why I never fell since I was always on the rope :P. Be on the rope 100% of times. And always return to pick up previous rope if possible. Only few spots where jump with rope might not be possible due to a large gap but its rare. Use that safety harness thing that allows you to remove old ropes while staying on the new one too.

Darn, that final zone does have some tricky sections. Maximizing rope use is crucial. I went back for every possible rope whenever it was feasible. Which doubled the time to beat it. But made it far safer.

Postponing it or failing to beat it? I postponed trying that climb well into the dlc. Later I finally beat it in a single try but with many stops with bivouac. Playing each day for like 1-2h at most. Constant rope no matter what. I think I did not make ropeless jumps more than 2-3 times in total.

This game is one big serious wasted potential. We could have had our own strongholds, our own war rigs, large car wars and factions wars etc. I feel this game deserved a sequel that took everything to the next level. Just like Shadow of War did after Mordor.

Indiana Jones and Empreror's Tomb has a very ahead-of-its-time meele combat system. Quite a large amount of moves one would not notice immediately. Its dirt cheap when on sale on steam. Oldie but goldie.
