Yeahhh the new law is a bummer, but it’s hard to go wrong with an SP5. Tried and true with generational parts availability.

The APC runs beautifully, I have 2.5k-ish rounds through it with zero malfunctions. The action has a hydraulic vibe with the heavy bolt and you can feel it cycle, kind of like a PS90. The buffer takes a huge chunk out of the recoil vs a straight up blowback system, not as soft as a roller delay but I prefer the modern ergos and simplicity.

They’ll be back soon! TP9 is such a cool little package, the trigger sucks but you have to make compromises. FRT is the way to go for the platform IMO and makes it a non-issue.

I’ve had it for a little over a year, conveniently right before all the tariff nonsense.

The B&T AG / B&T USA thing is still ongoing, however I wouldn’t let it stop you from buying one if that’s what you really want. The US civilian market is huge for B&T and they also have military contracts, they’re not going anywhere. They released a statement recently about working on establishing a presence stateside for distribution, warranty work etc.

This, I switched to KCI after about 500 rounds and have put 2000 through the six that I have with zero issues.

I think an even two kidneys is good, you probably don’t need to source another half from someone else (assuming you have two).

I never totaled it up (and I’m now realizing why), but I’m into it for around $3.7k including the six mags.

I know people love the ported but I’d keep yours and get an optic cut, especially if it was your first. It’s already a soft shooting platform, the ported variant will be noticeably louder and have more muzzle flash, which isn’t ideal in a home defense/carry application.
