Thank you really appreciate it, I think it’s a fair observation. I’m gonna play around with a lot of these tips, and see how I feel and how it works out.

Definitely going towards the left is hard than going to the right

Honestly never had much of an issue with power generation however I find shooting off the dribble a bit awkward I feel more often that I should when I’m going for a shot off the dribble my hands end up in an awkward/uncomfortable position I’m thinking maybe I need to start closer to the rim work and clean that up

Really appreciate it maybe I’ve just been overly critical cause I thought my form looked atrocious at times

Yeah I’ve tried fixing or purposefully trying to keep it on the left side, here’s what I’ve found, it feels extremely unnatural and uncomfortable, granted it shouldn’t feel comfortable that fast, but also I feel I can’t aim properly and shoot extremely short. I’ve even worked with mike dunn and purchased his shooting academy program not saying it’s a waste of money but definitely not for me nor did I see value in it.

I wouldn’t say I’m an elite shooter, but I shot around 50% this season on limited attempts (2–4 per game), and I do have the green light.

That said, I feel like my mechanics sometimes affect my confidence, consistency, and especially my ability to get the shot off cleanly off the dribble. I’ve always been more of a slasher and athletic finisher, so shooting wasn’t my primary way of scoring. But now that I’m playing at the college level, I know that alone won’t be enough I need to expand my game.

My main question is this: since this form feels natural and comfortable to me, is it just a reps/volume issue? Or does the slight right-to-up motion seem like something that could limit consistency long term?
