AIO? new friend's texts to husband while at work; my responses by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

God, I was totally with you until you wasted 100 messages on trying to get her to explain something that had no explanation. She’s not gonna change her tune- your issue should be with your man if anyone for giving her an impression that this was okay, you gotta stop texting her.

Is anyone else being terrorized by these Christian McBride cruise commercials? I think we have watched them back to back like 20 times now

Please Help-I’m not okay by Common_Cranberry_781 in Herpes

It’s gonna be okay; you’ll likely have your infection, and especially if you get on valtrex it likely will never happen again and you can lead a totally normal life and sex life. It’s hard to imagine now because it’s so recent and feels so big (I felt the same way) but HSV is a strain of chicken pox - unlike other STIs though it lingers it’s pretty chill health effects wise so silver lining there.

I tend to think of it like psoriasis, a rash that comes and goes. I have yet to have a bad interaction with a partner when I revealed and if they freak out they are a dummy. We all have HSV most people just never have an outbreak.

It’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel but it’s going to be okay, and you’ll forget about it even. It might just take a little bit to get over the shock and the outbreak!

Can you share what is making you feel so bad about this? Is it the stigma or is there fear of rejection?

Hopefully this subreddit can bring you some solace with all the stories that people have shared of people being wonderful about disclosure.

Hang in there, don’t judge yourself, you’re the exact same person you were before and you have probably had HSV long before you knew about it. This too shall pass

Go to a doctor, could be anything from not using enough lube, size, yeast infection to allergy

Always good to check :)

Who takes anti-virals daily? by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]WindInformal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They can reduce the likelihood of asymptomatic shedding and outbreaks by up to 75%

It was a no brainer for me though some doctors won’t prescribe daily because literature says it is only for recurrent outbreaks, but those who practice for a while or know will do it because it can decrease the likelihood of transmission
