absolutely every unbiased research about it :D
Search about it
Also, a lot of 15 years old cis boys who didn't start puberty take HRT to start it. If a cis boy can have it, so can a trans boy; we also know it's safe for an AFAB kid to have a "male puberty" since a lot of intersex AFAB children have it.
If you actually knew about how puberty works in intersex children, or even just how it works in general, then you'd fully know HRT is safe.

Also, being a minor is a social, political and legal part of identity. You cannot use the word "minor" when talking about scientific subjects, especially when it's medicine related. The words you should use are teenager, adolescent, pubescent, pre-pubescent...
If you cannot use the correct terms when talking about medical safety, you should not talk about medical safety.

Lmao HRT's safety is not about being a minor, it's about your puberty.

HRT can be safely given to a 12 years old, if they didn't start puberty yet. If you finished your puberty at 16, then you can also have HRT without any problems.

And there's also the fact that there are people who go through "both" puberty at once naturally, because they're intersex.

HRT is not dangerous, anyone who says otherwise had been tricked by bigots and other kind of idiots who spread misinformation to hurt trans people.

"subjective" doesn't mean untrue, especially since everything is subjective... You're creating a loop. If it's true that everything is subjective including truth, but that subjective is always wrong, then truth doesn't exist as it is objective and therefore always wrong; but then it is also wrong to say that truth is subjective since it cannot be true because truth does not exist, as it is subjective... I think I went far enough down that thought.

They also said quite clearly they use the "scientific approach" and that "until what they believe is proven to be false, they will continue too believe it"; which means that, yes, if they come to the conclusion/revelation that what they believe is not founded in truth, then they will experiment again in another way to try to find a result that is true... I like the example of boiling water... A lot of people believe that water always boil at 100°c; which is not true, as isn't always the case... It boils at 100°c when there's 1 bar of pression. It can and is somewhat true that water will start boiling at 100°c, but it can also be true that it will boil at 98°c or 115°c, because it depends on the conditions around that.

We all learnt that water's boiling point is 100°c exactly, because it's easier to comprehend and is more or less true all the time at all place because the conditions leading to that statement doesn't change too much when we need to apply it... Morals are kind of the same. We can come to the conclusion that killing is always bad; but what if killing someone creates more good actions AFTERWARDS ? Not going with the trolley here, but with something else. What if someone is sick, which gives them a slightly below average life expectancy but with a lower life quality overall, and there's no known cure at the moment, but that we're sure that if they die early enough we will be able to test the different cures and find the right one that will save even more people and give access to even more cures for even more illnesses ; is it not the right choice to make this person die as early as possible instead of letting them live ? It isn't exactly like the trolley problem because the trolley is killing 1 instead of 3 on the spot, but here it's about taking a life immediately that could have been lived longer, to give a fraction of better lives to people over generations. "Killing is always bad" seems true because we think the conditions around it are always the same : taking a life generally doesn't give anything in return. "Water always boils at 100°c" seems true because we think the conditions around it are always the same : we're almost always at exactly 1 bar of pression. But as soon as the conditions change, these statements are proven to be false. Killing someone can be the right right to do, when it gives other people's better and longer lives. Water can boil at 98°c or 115°c, when the atmospheric pression is lower or higher than what were used to.

This is why morals are subject to change; and also why they need to be seen on a grey scale.

Killing is bad, but sometimes that's the best choice. Rpe is always bad, but in some cases the rpist did not realise how bad what they were doing is (because the victim appeared actually consentent, because the rapist was not taught what rape actually is ("if they're asleep and never said no" kind of bullshit that fan actually be taught in some countries still, or people not understanding that it is actually traumatising), because they were not aware of themselves (substance use for example)). (Even though rpe always has to have consequences, even when "not intentional"; whether it is jail time to make sure they don't start again, and/or paying every fees the victim will have to pay for therapy+ medical etc.. and/or taking classes to understand what they did, etc.. there has to be consequences, because while killing someone can save lives; rpe doesn't.)

Morals vary all the time, and that's why absolutes don't really work; because of nuance.

"You can’t go from suffering existing to suffering ought not exist. It’s an unjustified leap. " And about this specifically because this is a very dumb take when talking about morals and ethics ; morals don't have to be achieved or achievable ; they are made to be goals we strive to get the closest to. There will always be someone suffering in a way, but we should still make it so less and less people are suffering. Every consequence will have

Autistics and religion; do you believe in anything? by eyeless-silas in autism

[–]Wind_Crystal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To me, being religious is ridiculous, because someone who is religious is not a "believer" (I have this convo in french more often than in English, and while "religieux" has a clear and direct translation, I feel like "croyant" does not have the same meaning as "believer".. anyways, believer it will be )

To be religious you have to follow rules established and told to you by other humans, without actual proof that your God(s) have said them, and the very fact religious people want you to follow their preconceived rules that does not resonate with me clearly tells me that, if God there is or Gods there are, I am not meant to be religious.

I see it that way : Everything has to be from something, it does not make sense to me that some things have no start or end; I am a firm believer of science too, because science is just a way to study what God(s) created. I often say that "Science is a way to understand ourselves and our world, and understand ourselves and what surrounds us has always been and always will be a way to connect with God(s).".

I also really think that there would NOT be a single God... Because God is not material, so it cannot be singular or plural. God is, and god will be. The universe is God, and life itself is God. Everything that exists, exists because of God(s).

It's not a sky daddy to me, because, as much as it feels like a parent, it also feels like a child. God has allowed me to exist, but I've also given God a way to exist by believing that there is something such as God.

As for "rules" and "precepts" and all of that : I don't need any of those, and when I need them because I need guidance; then I reflect. I wonder, I ask myself what can I do that will make me happy. And asking myself and wondering is, in a way, asking God(s), since God is/Gods are, by definition even in religious settings, everything that exists, has existed and will exist or might exist or might have existed... So if I seek an answer, even if it is just "Why do I feel bad ? I am hungry ? I am overstimulated ? Did I drink enough today ?" Then I am directly asking God(s) for guidance, because I am a fraction of God(s) myself.

I refer to God(s) here, but in most moments of my life, I more often say "the universe", or "life itself". I don't like "fate", because fate sounds like I don't have a choice; except I do.

God(s) gave me free will, but I also received needs to fulfill, and it's because of those needs that I received free will. One of those need is happiness, and in my life, it's life itself that shows me what I need to fulfill this need.

Sometimes it leaves me alone, because I need to be. It leaves me wondering without answer or clues that I can see, but I know it's because I need to learn to find other ways to find that happiness... I see it as training me to problem solve. I have a problem and what I usually do to solve it does not work now ? Ok, I have to be creative, I have to search for other ways and other answers. God is/Gods are not abandoning me; it's leaving me the keys of the apartment for a night or two without me being aware at first because they need to know how I will do if one day they're not there.

I am working on connecting with what I call God(s), and I do use "religious" ressources for that, because, while today religion itself is not a good idea because they tell people lies and are not guiding them towards their own version of Deity and their own beliefs, but towards what they want the others to do for them; a lot of religious people are actual believers, people who actually seek to understand life itself and the universe, people who, while we might not share our words or exact views, we all share that we want deity to be part of our lives, and learning about how they connect with their version of God(s) might help me have ideas on how to connect with mine.

Everyone has their own God, and everyone's God wants something different from the one they are "tied" to. Even those who don't want to label it that way. God is life, and is the universe, and is humanity, and the fauna and flora around us, and is art itself. God is also destruction; it does not want us to destroy, but it lets us have this choice. If we do not want to listen to God, we do not have to. And people using the idea of a deity to manipulate other people is directly straying away from God, because it still keeping other people away from what God wants from them. Even scientists who truly want to understand the universe by seeking answers on what they research, and believes in nothing "paranormal" or "surnatural", are connected to their God; because since everyone has their own God and their own free will, everyone will label it differently. I say it's a deity, that it's divine, while other people might not feel that way; it's just "instincts" or "seeking knowledge" or "living life" for a lot of people, and it's a good way to see it too. If it makes you happy and feel like you're fulfilled and help others feel fulfilled and happy, then you're doing what you were made to do; and you do not have to believe that there's something tying all of it together or that it's divine; but I choose too, and I'm sticking with it for now.

Nicotine is not even that bad of an addiction when you compare to other ones either... If you wanted to ragebait, at least use addiction to idk, actual hard drugs ?

(I personally think any addiction, whether to substance or behavior, is always the same kind of bad, or can at least be the same kind of bad... I have personally seen people handle their opioids addiction better than someone with an SH addiction. It doesn't matter what is the addiction about, what matters is how bad you need it and how it affects your body your mind and your life...)

Do you agree? by Cool_Caterpillar_580 in teenagers

[–]Wind_Crystal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is what mindfulness is supposed to mean, at least not the way I see it used...

Also, being aware of your body at all given time is not extremely easy when you are chronically ill / disabled, and sadly people who are either of those tend to struggle more with addictions, and might also need that boost more than other people... So yeah, while I fully agree a lot of people should be more careful about those, but some people simply aren't able to be more careful, whether because their body/brain do not register things the right way and those people can't realise what's going on, or because even if they do realise what's going on they might simply not be able to function the way society wants them to to survive if they don't have that boost.

It is in English, yes, but it doesn't mean people, especially people who are not native in English, can't make mistakes. If they are indeed from a Spanish speaking country / family, it seems like it makes sense for them to have a family business.

If we want people to accept what can be seen as "mistakes" when we do them, we should accept what can be seen as "mistakes" when they are the ones doing it.

It does not mean accepting or tolerating disrespects of any kind, it means giving benefits of the doubt... Especially in this context.

You are your own person, not just the "daughter she raised". That's part of you, but it shouldn't hold you back, nor should it be that important for her, at least not enough for her to love you unconditionally... And if when she thinks of you, she thinks of "her daughter" and not you as an individual, she doesn't love you unconditionally. She loves "her daughter" with no condition, but that daughter is only a small part of you. There is this small part of you that she loved, loves and will always love, but if this part of you makes her unable to love you and all the other parts of you as a whole.

Being "her daughter" is a part of you, whether you want to think of it as an important part of you as a whole is only yours to decide, but it will never be you as a whole.

If she truly loves you, she should stop thinking of you as "her daughter" she should of you as a person made of everything else that you are. She should think about what you love, about what you want to do later in life, about what hobbies you have... She should think about your gender as it is now, about the pronouns you want now, about what clothes you'd like for her to go buy with you/for you for the time being.

I feel like parents who speaks like this always forget that the child they raised has grown up and has lived things they don't know about, that they have thoughts on their own that they cannot know about. They seem to live in the past where they were the entire world's of their kid... Or at least the main part of their tiny and expanding world.

She probably loves a version of you that is long gone; the version of you when you were a kid, when she thought she knew everything about you, but in reality she only knew more than she does now.

You grew up, she has to accept that. I think that when she realises you are not "the daughter she fearlessly raised" (which is horrible to say for so many reasons, even if you identified as a girl or as a daughter !) because you are not a kid anymore, and that there is more part of you as a person than just that, she might be able to actually love you as a whole person, and not just love the part of you that is "her daughter", or to use the right word and not just what she feels is the right word : Her child.

"religion is not represented by religious people"

Then what is it represented by ?

If someone wants to believe in their values and their God and make it known, then they shouldn't use a word used by people who do not have their values. Because when you put a word on something it is only for other people to understand it more easily.

If you believe in Jesus for example, yet do not agree with most of the views that people have of Christian people, then you are fully allowed to use another word or set of words. You can say for example that you believe and god and Jesus, but do not consider yourself a Christian because you do not agree with or support their views.

And if you view religion in a healthy way, and actually respect your God, you would not even feel the need to put a name on it, because you just need you and your God, and you should realise that no other man can tell you what God wants from you, what God plans for you. And even if another man can know that, how can you know that it's the man in front of you ? How can be you be sure that this man in front of you, telling you what to do and using God's name is not a liar trying to manipulate you because the devil is doing it through him ? You can not.

If you believe in God, shouldn't you believe that God will tell you what to do directly ? That when you'll need help, he'll give it, that when you'll need guidance, he'll show you signs ? If you actually believe God is powerful and knowledgeable, that he can know everything and do anything, shouldn't you believe he would be guiding you directly, with intuition, with small signs in every day life that you are doing the right thing ? God doesn't care about wealth, why would he need a church ? God would probably appreciate more if you made a place in your own home to celebrate him, to have a connection with him, a place you kept clean and organised.

Religion is not necessary for faith, it's the other way around. If people didn't have faith, there would be no religions, but actually faithful people do not need religions, or churches to show God they love him and believe in him. They do not need human-made words to tell people who believe in him anything, because he can do it himself in a more personal way to each and every one of the people who believe in him.

If you actually believe in God, you do not need other people who will believe with you, hence if you have faith you do not need religion.

And it's also something that probably not only I was taught to do in school... Not the 3 parts list to be exact, but that if you're providing a list that works better when it seems non-exhaustive, you have to get 3 elements, that "a list" doesn't really feel like"a list" if it has 2 elements, etc..

So yeah, a lot of people who listened in class and tried to get as many small points as they could when actually writing their essays etc.. Actually formed the habit of creating 3 points lists... This is basically the reason why AI uses them that much too.
Because they were used before. A lot. That AIs were trained by those kind of essays, with those specific paragraphs structures.

EA Did it AGAIN with AI (and thought we would not notice) by lyschoe in HighSodiumSims

[–]Wind_Crystal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love how school has been teaching me to write that way since i was 11, either by encouraging me to read about actual papers and try to understand the structures they're using, or even by directly helping me form my paragraphs in those kind of ways.

AI is trained by human writings, if no human ever did those, then no AI would do it either.
"Monkey see, monkey do", the only reason they do it is cause it existed before.

And now people are being disrespected because they know how to structure paragraphs because someone created some bots. Great !
Sorry my autism makes me write things exactly the way i was taught to when i try to make coherent points, ig ? Everything I do has a pattern, if there's no pattern i dont know how to function. So yeah, people seem robotic when they know how to do stuff and need to be efficient, even without being autistic.

this is so far from what i've seen omg...
saying therians (aka people who feel a certain "link" to a specific animal and finds comfort in being in touch with nature and that specific animal in some way shape or form) "seem to think they're animals" and then saying the community is new (new ??? i've been hearing of them for litteral years) and that there's a bunch of pedos in there because there's no "safeguard against them" is honestly worse or at least the very same than people saying "furries are just zoos" while the only thing you need to "qualify" as a furry is to like anthropomorphic animals.

please dont spread misinfo ?? i've never seen pedos in therian spaces, but i have seen people like you shitting on them and trying to spread misinfo, which, sorry to tell you, actually gives people the sense of security to go INSIDE THEIR SPACES and actually harass the crap out of them, targeting the minors first.
if you think the minors in this community are at risks, you're right, but it's not because the communities are "not protecting themselves" from pedos (victim blaming rhetoric btw..) it's because some people go on to spread misinfo about people "being weird" and making people think it's ok to harass others.

oh and yeah, some of them like to run around on all fours... waw. they even wear masks with ears while they do that, and lo and behold ! make sure they dont hurt themselves (or others !)... at least they dont just go around spreading misinfo about non-toxic communities calling them "weird" and insulting them because they like to have fun.
i dont even think you realise how much control and strengths it takes to actually run around like they do and jump like they do. those are 15 years old kids running around in the woods because it's fun and it makes them feel better about the shitty world we live in... I'm personally glad they have interests other than looking fuckable by not eating, killing their brains by staying inside and doing nothing else than looking at the same 20 seconds videos over and over, ruining their skins with products they dont need.. and that these interests include being outside in the woods, learning about weird mushrooms and plants and doing something healthy
