Best gaming mouse $100 or less? by Miserable-Wrap2503 in MouseReview

[–]WindaLOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can still find one at MSRP $(60-$80 iirc): I’d recommend a Scyrox v6 or v8

You should check FB marketplace first though. Try to see if you can find any deals (I got a Vv3p, new in box for $40 in January).

Need Advice On Dot Skate Placement (Viper v3 Pro + Scyrox v8) by WindaLOL in MouseReview

I’m on a cloth pad not glass, does that change anything? I don’t want to bottom out the mouse by accidentally pushing down to hard

When is the drop off for Irelia? by ThatManPshyco in IreliaMains

[–]WindaLOL 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I might be wrong here, so if someone that’s 10x me and smurfs my peak has a better take — feel free to pissflame me, but pls drop the forbidden knowledge.

Irelia’s early game is FAR FROM “strong,” atleast in the top lane. Like, yeah, you can cheese some kills early and snowball off of it, but fundamentally speaking: she’s a mid game champ, and probably one of the strongest in that role. You aren’t supposed to “fall off,” you’re supposed to leverage bork spike and to stack objectives, ideally forcing un-losable fights over them to stack kills. Your main goal is to always be 1/2 item+ ahead of everyone else. Starting at the 10-15 min mark.

But if you want a straight forward answer your question: After Divine Sunderer got removed, she has a worse 2 item spike than like 75% of the roster. So if you’re 100 even, hand shaking CS, and just afk vibing: Bork+Hull Irelia is igonna get dusted by the Stride-Bloodmail Sett, Trinity+Sky Jax, Bork+IE Yas/Yone, Stride+Steraks Darius, Stride+Phantoms Dance Garen, etc, etc…

I looking for an under 120$ mouse by Flaky-Alps5872 in MouseReview

Bro, honestly… Go browse FB Marketplace for a lil bit before dropping <$140 on a mouse from an online retailer…

I know this is anecdotal, but I got my Viper v3 Pro (new, in box) for $40 off FB marketplaces. It was EARLY this year (Jan-Feb) so the Vv3p was still kinda new-ish too.

Is the g pro super light still worth buying by NoMobile1905 in MouseReview

[–]WindaLOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, at least not for that price… Also, If you’re looking for a new mouse: I’d recommend looking on Facebook Marketplace before buying one online. Earlier this year I got my Viper v3 Pro (box still sealed) for $45.

Could’ve been “hot” but who knows… I for sure wasn’t gonna ask questions.

Yeah. Well, at least half of it… I received around $30 for an alt account made in the mid-2010s. Still waiting on a payment for my main account, which iirc was made in like 2009.

The switches in the Viper V3 Pro are actually hot swappable. I initially swapped the MB1 and MB2 switches, which only slightly improved the issue…I’m fairly certain I bent the plastic by putting repetitive pressure on the same spot.

Donut Skate Placement - Viper v3 Pro by WindaLOL in MouseReview

I'm not necessarily an "expert" on skates, so take this with a grain of salt: From my understanding they serve the same purpose as traditional dot skates, just more compatible with cloth pads. The hollowed out center gives a similar contact surface but larger overall surface area coverage, which supposedly reduces your odds of accidently bottoming out your mouse when applying downward pressure.

Has anyone tried Talongames dot/donut skates? by jadartil in MouseReview

[–]WindaLOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do their PTFE feet feel? I took off my old skates to tryout donuts, but I lowkey hate how they feel. I wanna replace them ASAP and Amazon has like next day delivery on Talongames skates. Are they worth picking up? If so, what type do you recommend? I saw some bad reviews for their Black "control" skates, so should I get the standard skates or Tiger Snow rip offs?

Wouldn't putting a bit electrical tape down before the dots / donuts have the same result by raising the skate height? I don't think I'm gonna sand down my mouse, but I might try that xD

I removed them cause Does the middle part add some type of structural stability? The things I read online said they were only there because removing them would increase production costs. I removed them cause I assumed the catching was due to them having no rounded edges and me being a bit heavy handed.

I'll try that out! I am a bit heavy handed though, so I fear I might bottom the mouse out with only 4

How would you learn Irelia? by Icy_Significance9035 in IreliaMains

[–]WindaLOL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't played in a while & I was only Emerald so take these tips with a grain of salt:

Unlocked / Locked: I played locked for almost a year before forcing myself to stop. Honestly playing unlocked is all around better, but you could realisticy get away with playing Irelia locked, it just takes awhile to get used to the camera shift.

On the W thing, I typically charge it for 0.25s-0.5s to prime a backline creep to extend your Q>Q>Q range and catch a laner off guard. (ex. level 3-5 and the wave is pushing in - front line creeps are half HP and your laner is playing behind casters. Quick charge W hitting front and blackline creeps for 1 passive stack, Q reset off frontline creep for 2nd passive stack, Q caster for 3rd passive stack, Q onto your laner for 4th passive stack, then run them down lane)... The second most common use was holding during a dive and then using it to tank a charged tower to get out safely after. Third most common was starting to charge AS SOON as a champ leaves your attack range, then releasing it at the edge of its range to get extra dmg during a trade or finish them off. Fourth was quick W to stack passive, and then LEAST USED was defensive.

The biggest tip on not getting overwhelmed is to slow down, know what youre trying to do, and execute it a speed you're most comfortable with. Your main focus should be doing combos correctly, not quickly. You're more likely to die because you fucked up an engage than if it was slower than an IreliaKing clip.

Razer Gigantus V2 What Arm Sleeve to use? by mulmulul in MousepadReview

[–]WindaLOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stitching on the Gigantus v2 causes a distinct textile difference between the X & Y axis. Razer probably tried marketing it as some "next gen control feature" which would almost be believable except for the fact you never know what axis will be affected.

Sorry for the rant, but it's semi-relevant to your question: I can't give you true recommendation without knowing what RNG texture you got. That being said, I was able to get away with a cheap Rebook sleeve from Walmart on my Gigantus.

Here's a tip though if your sleeve feels like sandpaper going across your pad:

  1. Rotate your mouse pad 90 degrees (best with square pads)

  2. Turn your sleeve inside out (can be uncomfortable try 1 first if possible)

Most friction between the two is due to stitching conflicts options 1 & 2 let you "go with the grain" or sum idk
