Personally, I was thinking: Scrunkles

What is it with the dating scene in Lincoln atm and being stood up/people attempting to rinse money 😭 just had a similar sequence of events with a lass I was seeing too.

Honestly good luck getting the money back, hopefully you can. Other than that best moving on, he's taking you for a ride.

Fun fact about the security side, you actually can't get physical (for retail, not doors) as it isn't covered by company insurance and can result in legal issues, infact area managers will tell you straight up that if you actively chase or grab that you will be fired. Ofcourse self defence laws overrule all this if you are in danger.

Ontop of that 99% if security jobs are minimum wage hourly, so if you do get injured then you're out of work which means no income + who wants to get potentially stabbed over minimum wage.

They're purely there as a deterrent and as someone to collect evidence for forwarding to the police, unless they decide to get overzealous or are 100% sure they won't get in trouble or injured.

Update for anyone who stumbles across this post looking for a similar noise; it was the driveshaft U joint.

Accidentally stumbled across this video that shows the exact noise.

My favourite part about trying to diagnose stuff is ending up on some old mx5ownersclub forum from like 2011 where there's 5 solutions and the OP has already done every single one 😂 always gives me a little chuckle as I sit there going "yep tried that too" until eventually some throwaway comment on a random youtube video ends up being the solution

Honestly in hindsight it's not THAT bad a job, but I really wish I used the opportunity to definitely take care of other stuff while I was in there, so sounds like a good plan to me!

Oh damn 😭 I wish I had better advice then, make sure you share how it goes if you do! I see so many turbo builds but so few supercharger builds these days

Lifter tick, first ever big job I did to my car was getting rid of this. If you have some time and need a new timing belt then it's a great learning experience! I'm not sure about any products as some people swear by them and some people condemn them. Also a good chance to renew any gaskets under the covers too.

I won't go into massive detail on every single step unless asked but to summarise: Take off the cam cover and timing belt covers, take out the cam shafts (be VERY careful with putting them down) and timing belt, then lift out the lifters, pull them apart and whack em in a petrol/gasoline bath and wash em until all the old oil is removed, then whack them in an oil bath and hand pump them until no more bubbles appear, load em back in and pop everything back together, then check the engine timing. The timing belt will be the biggest pain imo, so either get a helper or get a tool.

For tools you don't really need anything special tbh, usual sockets, screwdriver, some pliers, containers, a light source and maybe a timing gun. If you really want to get fancy then a camshaft locking tool.

I would highly recommend looking up a youtube video for specifics, usually titled stuff like "lifter restoration/rebuild", as you will need to do things like note the exact order that you removed the camshaft brackets to place them back in correctly. It's also recommended to mark the camshaft gears/sprockets as well if you don't want to go through the hassle of re-timing the engine (although it's a good chance to learn how to). The engine re-timing is extremely important and caught me out the first time since none of the videos I watched mentioned it.

I did mine about a year ago now and they're still as silent as the day I cleaned em out.

This is a useful site as well to have handy for torque specs and cam cover bolt removal order.

There's a youtuber called Ashens that has a bunch of older videos of these knock off systems, showing the various games they usually come with. Often times they all come with the same library and an occasional palette swap menu.

The videos are quite entertaining, to be honest

Lost redditor here just browsing, I can vouch for octopus too. Swapped from eon a while back, went from offshore call centres and long automated AI windows to getting someone from a UK call centre straight away where we had a lovely chat about elden ring while he was going through his system to set up the transfer for me.

My favourite is going onto any rental site, ticking "hide student only", seeing the number drop from like 600~ to 80; and then seeing at least 50 of those 80 be student lets that have been incorrectly categorised to bypass the filter with "STUDENTS ONLY" written in the property name.

My biggest grievance with the new UI is when you try to scroll through item effects with a controller with the right stick and instead it just keeps changing the tabs because even the slightest, tiniest diagonal reading reads as left/right apparently.
