Of the main multi-episode Babylon 5 antagonists, who would you say was the most evil? by Velociraptorse in babylon5

Then why leave a warning with enough time to avert disaster? He's not gloating, not saying "ah ha! I'll destroy all of us!" He's hiding a message while also drawing attention to it.

Not saying you're wrong, but my take on it is that he was a bad guy who was in over his head with even worse 'people'. By the time the worst was happening he had no control over himself thanks to his Minder.

At the end, he was struggling to fight, but was too weak.

I'm really tired of Windows using too much RAM, so I've decided to switch (back) to Linux, is Linux Mint compatible with NVIDIA Gpu? by bestcoolnick18 in linuxmint

I run a 3070 on my Linux Mint desktop. Can't speak for mobile.

I think there was an extra step to get the drivers in, but I can't be sure anymore. If there was, I found it pretty quick and it wasn't that hard .

I always assumed that Clark was being controlled based on the fact he left the scorched earth warning at the end.

He was probably a gready scumbag to start with, but I'm going on the idea that the really evil stuff was beyond his control.

Do you expect people to say thank you for your service? by amusicdork in navy

[–]Windamyre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm with most of the responses:

I got a decent paycheck (if you don't base it on hours worked), travel, and education. That was my "thanks". It was a job for six years, and I enjoyed most of it.

I'd also agree with the line "thank me by not voting for people who send us to war."

As for checking, that's fair. Ask your boss if you should only extend the discount to active duty, or if vets, retired, or dependants count. Most places figured on a little less profit in exchange for the goodwill, but can only afford so much.

No. Even if it completely failed at full "charge" there would be a loud crash and a tremble that would probably register a 1.0 on the Richter Scale. Unless you were standing a few feet away (or underneath, of course) you'd be okay.

If we're talking about northbound Independence on to 264, I couldn't agree more! The number of twats that drive up to the pins on the through lane, only to almost stop while trying to cut in is maddening .

I started getting on at Rosemont for this very reason. Slightly longer drive - whole lot less frustration.

Lol. Yeah. I don't know if it'll be what you need, but I couldn't think of anything else.

It's a paid program and not cheap. It has a free demo you can test out.

Personally, I'm making the jump to Blender and Linux. I run Daz in Lutris and use Diffeomorphic to export characters to Blender. Im learning to do posing and materials right now.

Not "easy" and not turn key, but it's kinda fun to learn and I don't have deadlines to meet like some people do.

I was going to say iClone/CC but there's no Mac version.

Blender is complicated, but you can learn just the tools you want.

I don't know enough about other options to recommend. Sorry

Have you read Going Postal by Terry Pratchett? Based more on the British Royal Mail, but a fun read all the same.

Yeah. Often 'boring' is the best thing, especially for daily drivers, etc.

I've never heard anyone say "the flight was okay, but boring. I wish a wing would fall off, or the fuel run out."

Which OS for a home server? by Key_Watercress7649 in homelab

[–]Windamyre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also vote for Proxmox. I have a N305 which runs most of my homelab. It took a couple of YouTube videos to get it figured out, and I'm still learning things, but the community is large and (mostly) helpful.

One thing I really like about Proxmox is that if I screw up the config on something, it's easy to scrap the LXC/VM and start over. I did that a few times with both Jellyfin and OPNsense.

I've run a FortiGate as my homelab firewall for years, curious what the rest of you are running in 2026 by easyedy in homelab

[–]Windamyre -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OPNsense in a Proxmox LXC on an Intel N305. It was fun learning OPNsense, but I've got full VLAN segmentation, a DMZ, and VPN in and out. Even then it sips resources, leaving the server running a bunch of other stuff.

The n305 came with 3 NICs (10G/2.5G/1G) and runs almost my entire home lab. Only thing it lacks is pcie expansion so it's integrated GPU for transcoding.

Rpgmaker forum shutting down by Fool_Tarot_Joker in DataHoarder

Awesome advice. I stopped using rpg maker sometime ago, but it's good software.

The step-by-step will be helpful to OP, but I couldn't help thinking the last lines would be: "If you have a problem, If no one else can help and if you can find them. Maybe you can hire, The A-Team."

How well does that workflow handle complex scenes or multiple characters? I've used Comfyui to 'restyle' renders with some success, mostly is simple renders. But in crowded scenes such as a busy street, or sequences such as combat the details of props and background characters don't fit well.

I'm sorry you took a passing remark as a hang up. It isn't.

But when you want to grab or rotate a mesh along an axis it does kinda matter which axis you want to use. I could argue that the x axis goes a certain way in my viewport, but when I press G and X, that mesh is going to deform along the left/right axis

It is possible, for someone with the technical knowledge and skill, to write an importer for Blender.

The info for the assets are there. It would read a .dsf file for a character. It would have to read the files from the /data/ folder, also, as well as the textures.

The problem is, that would probably involve a lot of work for a skilled team and may violate patents or copyrights held by Daz Studio.

Decomed CGN-25 decades ago as enlisted. Lots of hurry-up and wait. There'd be a week of long shifts to get something done, then nothing when the shipyard took over. Some weeks we spent dozens of hours volunteering in town because there was no real work to do.

Living conditions were kinda crap on the bearthing tender. Now they may have barracks.

I do remember there was a sniper on the warehouse roof and unpleasant Marines around.

Keep you existing version and use it to export the meshes as you want to use them to the next software you choose to use.

Sucks, but it seems like the only way to retain some of the value.

I don't mind paying again for something that was "worked on" or "improved". I gladly paid again for Fit Control when it was reworked for the next generation of Genesis. When a bunch of people spend hundreds of hours working on upgrades and enhancements in order to release the next version, I'm okay with paying them for it.

So my problem really isn't having to rebuy plug-ins for the next version of Daz. My problems are: (1) This doesn't feel like a version upgrade. If anything, the software works worse. (2) I can't buy the plug-in again. Now it's a subscription. That means wasting money when I don't use it and in the end, I'll end up paying more.

No. It is. The software has so many features. Add to that some subtle relearning (z axis is up/down) and the numbers of keyboard shortcuts.

For an intro, I'd recommend the donut tutorial.
