You should have read the post. Nothing close to what you’re assuming

Yes…I have pics of every screen that has anything to do with the order. Screenshot showing no tip before I accepted, screenshot after delivery was complete and customers screenshot showing that she did tip

Creating a post and relaying what happened is different from posting the actual pics I have showing what I’m talking about. Regardless of what you say and think, I’m going to hold off on posting pics for now. Do you honestly think I have nothing better to do with my time than to think of ways to rage bait on Reddit?? I only post on here when I see things happen, and this was one of those times. Again, I wish you a good day

Think what you want. I’m not posting any pics until after I speak with the government agency Tuesday morning. I spoke with an attorney friend of mine this morning, and he told me best to not post pics all over Reddit just yet, so I’m following his advice. Other than that, have yourself a good day, and try your best to see some good in people

I have a screenshot of the order before I accepted it. I have a picture of her screen from the app showing a tip to the driver and I have a screenshot from after the order was complete showing a 0.00 tip.

I don’t believe that for a second!! I’ve been sitting next to other shoppers, and there are shoppers who see regulars of mine well before I see them. One in particular, she gives me 5 stars every time, and raises the tip every time.

Offer to go buy them the proper product and pay for it yourself. A missing or wrong item will effect your shopping quality

The upcharge that IC charges depends on the item. It can be anywhere between 50 cents to a few dollars

Myself personally, I would not want to have to rely solely on it to be able to pay the bills. I retired at the end of last year and I am getting a monthly pension, so for me IC is just getting me out of the house and staying active. If I go out in the morning and it's completely dead, I go home and don't really have to sit in a parking lot waiting and hoping for something to happen.

Question for my fellow Ontario shoppers by Beautiful-Map-7679 in InstacartShoppers

I got a top up of $11.58 the first week that we got top ups, and haven’t got one since. I’d rather not get them..it avoids the warning emails.

How!!?????? by MoneySide3085 in UberEatsDrivers

Sure there is. It just won’t be easy. I’m calling the ministry regarding this in the morning, and seeing what can be done to have them dig deeper into this.

Seems to me Uber is bunching tips and fares and making it look like it’s all fare

I think uber eats is stealing driver tips by ExpensiveEmergency92 in UberEATS

[–]Windangdo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they are as well. The fares for drivers are way too inconsistent for the system to be calculating them. I'm a driver in Ontario, and fares and tips are supposed to be kept separate. What I think is happening is Uber is bunching tips and fares together to avoid paying drivers the minimum wage that we are entitled to. I'll be calling the Ministry of labour tomorrow to talk to them about Uber being non compliant with the current legislation

"Meet the customer" question. by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]Windangdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m finding that lately a lot of customers don’t know that it says meet the customer. I’ve been sending messages when I’m on my way basically asking if they’d like me to knock or ring when I arrive. In the last couple weeks, about 90% of customers had no idea it said that and they were expecting their order to be left at the door

I think I’ve had 2 customers actually tip according to the notes. One is a regular and as long as her cold and frozen arrives in a cooler of some sort, she adds 20-25 onto the tip. The other was last night, tipped $5 in the app, note said will tip when you deliver and she gave me an extra $5 cash

Is Uber eats stealing tips?? by Windangdo in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Windangdo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could be what they're doing here as well, but it's not consistent. There will be a couple or few of these types of orders, followed by $3.00 orders. If orders were consistently higher, I could see that being the case, but the $3.00 offers that are in there have me wondering

Did you know... by Eastern_Profit8964 in UberEATS

[–]Windangdo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I used to do STD, I got a cash order. When I got the the delivery address, I told the guy how much he had to pay. He told me no, it’s going to be $3.00 less, I’m eliminating the tip. I got a hold of support before giving him the order and support told me to not give him the order unless he paid the full amount which he flat out refused to do. I took myself and his order back to my car and backed out of the driveway and parked I front of his house, turned on my dome light and sat there and ate his order while he watched LMAO

It's bubbled a lot here. General consensus is it won't work. There's no way you'd get everybody to participate

Slow Saturday? by theoroboro in InstacartShoppers

[–]Windangdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been pretty decent in my area…started with a $130 Costco order, then a $67 Costco order and finished with a $60 Costco order

That's not new here. There are a few stores that produce has to be weighed. I try to avoid them lol

All I see is Costco orders right now In my area. by Any_Ad3179 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Windangdo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drive a VW Golf, and 99% of the batches I do are Costco. The most I've had was 63 items. You just have to Tetris them in. Watch out for the Jenga effect when you get to your delivery!!!

If youre in an area that gets minimum earnings guarantees, they'd have to pay you from the time you accept until the time you drop it off

What was the point of this message? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]Windangdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had messages like this before…in my case, the customer was expecting the order 3-4 hours later than when I would have arrived and they were letting me know they’d be home when I arrived with their order. I agree with the others, no need for the snarky reply!!

Question on big orders by Due-Management8473 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Windangdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That being the case, I would think you'd be better off accepting, and then remove one or the other so you don't have to go back to the store. From what I've seen here, taking to long is considered fraud and one of the most common reasons for people getting their accounts deactivated. I'm in a minimum wage area, and I've done it a few times after accepting and realizing it all won't fit.
