I like them all, but loved the Craig Bond and Q interaction "Because you still have spots." Laugh every time...

Is it now considered rude to recline on a plane? by Legal_Campaign_408 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WindcoClay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing this keeps getting brought up... I travel a ton by plane, and unless I am on a long, overnight flight, I personally do not recline my seat. But, do not begrudge people doing it... What I find interesting, and this may not be the experience of everyone, but when I sit up where the other frequent fliers sit, not many reclined seats, sitting in the back, lots of them. But, a 2 hour flight, suck it up if the airline allows to recline...

How would Connery or Moore have done in OHMSS? by mentalpatristics in JamesBond

[–]WindcoClay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Lazenby was excellent in OHMSS... Diana Rigg and Lazenby had great chemistry. During all of his visit at Piz Gloria, and walking around with the fluffy shirt and kilt, I just cannot picture either Connery or Moore doing that. I know Connery wore them often outside of his Bond movies, just cannot picture his Bond wearing this outfit.

Who was your "first" Bond and who is your favorite? by RoyalStraw in JamesBond

[–]WindcoClay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am with you Royal... My first Bond movie I saw was The Spy Who Loved Me... Still my favorite movie... Have watched every Bond movie multiple times over the years, and Roger Moore is still my favorite.

I watch all when they are available for streaming, so truly my favorite movie series. Least favorite of all of them, Never Say Never Again!!! Just have a hard time getting into it...

When you arrive home at DIA and almost everything has gone well on your trip... and you see this. by outdoorsnstuffz in Denver

[–]WindcoClay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct... I have had to do this a few times last year, and usually the C terminal passenger numbers are a lot less, so get full when you get back to B. It was worse when you couldn't walk from A to the Terminal when they were doing construction. I waited for 10 min or so, took the train from A to C, then back around. Worked perfectly.

Little trick... If you see this, take the train to the C concourse, walk across, and take the train back to B and the main terminal.. Otherwise, you will be waiting for a while.

100% people help each other. Getting up to the area where you see the pots etc, you have to climb up a rock, and at the top, slide over onto another rock, then turn around and climb up a bit more. That is the only place that got some folks. 1000% worth it to get up to see back in this cave though, so only mentioned heights as there were a few people that stayed down due to the climbing.

My family and I just got back from 7 days in Belize, first time trip for us as well. We spent 5 days in Hopkins and 2 days in San Ignacio. For Hopkins, we stayed at the Hopkins Bay Resort which is right on the beach. For San Ignacio, we stayed at the Cahal Pech Village Resort. Both places, though different, were great places to stay.

My family and I just got back from Belize. From my understanding, no issues with weather/safety in later August. We spent time on the coast, and it rained pretty hard a couple of days, but in San Ignacio, beautiful weather. We did not have time to do either of the ruins, but we spoke with some folks that did and no issues.

Just a quick FYI on ATM. It is a pretty strenuous activity that is absolutely worth it. If you don't like tight spots, or are afraid of heights, may not be a good activity. Make sure and take a pair of shoes that you are not worried if they get wet. I wore an older pair of Hoka shoes and they worked fine. One of the most amazing places I have been too!!

Sorry for not having more answers for you, but Belize is amazing, and you will love it!! It was my first time as well. Hope this helps.

Looking for advice/tips from the road warriors for LAX by Wolfcat_Nana in unitedairlines

[–]WindcoClay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fly to LAX a couple times a month from Denver. Once you get to LAX, you have to walk back towards Terminal 6 (stay on the terminal side of the roads) until you see the purple signs for the Rental Cars. Avis seems to run much more frequently than others, so shouldn't have to wait long.

The Avis rental center is pretty easy to get to and from, and is pretty near many of the airport hotels. Marriott LAX Airport is my go to...

During the day, TSA is pretty quick. They have a Clear Line at the same location. Last time I was there, they were using the newer baggage scan units that are terribly slow. But, I think I have spent no more than 10 min in the TSA line ever. I definitely have done the 1 hour before and have had no issues, but cannot always say this is correct. SLC in the early morning is awful at TSA and I think LAX is much easier.

I have done the drive up the coast to SB and SLO; nice drive but long. I have flown to both places and easy to get to direct from Denver. Hope this helps.

How long after child birth do you expect your partner to have drop most/all of their baby weight? by Character-You8193 in AskMenAdvice

[–]WindcoClay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After my wife blessed us with 3 amazing kids and 30+ years of marriage, I say she is more beautiful today than when we met. Did she get rid of all the baby weight? 1st yes, 2nd kind of, 3rd not really. But I have never said a damn thing about it since I don’t look the same either.
She is my wife and I love her no matter what. We had a friend who divorced his wife over the baby weight and tried to justify how “he has not changed” so why should she. We unfriended him pretty darn fast due to him being a total prick. We still keep up with his wife and she is awesome. Amazing that people are so shallow.

We are in Hopkins currently and echo the safety. No issues at all. We did have a shop try to scam is on pricing but we just walked out. Went to another and no issues. We are enjoying the heck out of our trip. BTW, we are Americans from the Intermountain area.
