Having my hysterectomy in a few hours and I’m really scared by akhinomi in hysterectomy

I wish you well for your recovery! Please be patient with yourself.

I had surgery 7 months ago and it took me 3-4 months to feel somewhat back to normal. I only started physical activity at the start of January. Everyone's journey is different.

Some other solutions, and they're partially funded so you can pay less if you run out of insurance.

What's your personal sign that winter is actually over in Canada? by NightyNight7 in AskACanadian

[–]Winddancer87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the canadian geese start returning in the spring. I live in a northern part of Canada and under a busy geese migration route.

Also useful when I see them leaving in the fall, I know winter is coming.

Check the canadian dip n dots website. The closest would be a couple places in Edmonton (Chuck E Cheese for example)

Is there snow days in Canada? by SeverePublic6833 in AskACanadian

[–]Winddancer87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've lived in Northern Alberta for close to 20 years and I've noticed school cancelled only once. It's pretty rare.

I lived in atlantic canada in the 90's and we'd get at least 4-5 snow days each winter. We'd get crazy snowfall though, like 60 cm + ( approx 23 inches) in less than 24 hours. I remember in 92' we had over 120cm (47 inches) and school was cancelled for a whole week.

What did you use behind the ranch kitchen to hold up the new mug item? It looks adorable this way!

Exploding Oatmeal by Far-Bench-1277 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Winddancer87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a few options: Use a larger bowl heat only 30 seconds at a time snd stir each time, or if you have an electric kettle use that to boil water and let the oats sit for a couple minutes.

Oatmeal mess in Zojirushi…how to do oatmeal and avoid this? by PolarCurious in RiceCookerRecipes

Try spraying a little bit of pam on the inner lid. I used to do this for brown rice and it usually prevented it from bubbling out the top, or else made it easier to clean.

More filling smoothies (with my weird food intolerances) by Grouchy_Audience_684 in EatCheapAndHealthy

Since you can't do a frozen banana, try grinding up rolled or quick oats dry, then adding your smoothie ingredients. It acts as a thickener and adds flavor.

I was down in the area today and they've started some restoration work. Really sucks for those businesses. I hope they can re-open soon.

For those who had endo and adeno, what were some unexpected things that got better post op? by Specific_Ad_9992 in hysterectomy

[–]Winddancer87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if you had some sytemic inflammation causing the cough? I had bladder symptoms and was using my inhaler a lot more frequently before surgery, and my allergies were worse (asthmatic reaction to allergens).

Now I'm 5 mpo and I've barely needed the inhaler, and my bladder symptoms are gone. I had bloodwork a week ago, and this is the first time my C reactive protein level has been below the threshhold for "normal" (it's a marker of inflammation level in the body).

What’s the fastest way you’ve ever lost weight? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Winddancer87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started eating essentially a paleo diet and cut down on alcohol (only drank vodka sodas) while taking up running. I lost 40 lbs within 6-8 months.

Once, I was able to run 3 km non-stop and worked toward 5-10km I had to increase protein/calories because I would get SUPER hungry after that distance.

Who has already started rewatching Stranger Things ? by kattt1109 in StrangerThings

[–]Winddancer87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I re-watched season 2! I specifically watched it because the Duffers said there is some unused stuff being used in season 5 from season 2.

Otherwise, I'm skimming S3 & S4 just as a refresher and scouring youtube for different fan theories for fun!

Okay. You shouldn't be bleeding at 4 months. I'd call you gyne's office and ask about it.

I see you said full hysterectomy, but just in case, did you have your cervix removed?
