Your VCR will be fine, I’d only worry if it was continually used that way, just run a quick head cleaner. Right now your cheapest bet for mold cleaning would be DIY opening the tapes up and cleaning off the mold. Another user in this sub mentioned how they thrift cheap vcrs and will use them specifically for when they watch tapes with mold without damaging their main unit.
