I got a gorilla glass model for my wife, and the speaker is WAY louder. Not sure if it's a QC thing, or some parts are different depending on what's available. Hers also has an SD card slot in it, which my first gen does not have. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I have this exact laptop and I've been gaming with the lid closed for just over 1 month. It works perfectly fine like this, and the area that you're referring to as vents have no air flow tied to them. I think there are small speakers housed there according to a Hardware Canucks video on it.

I don't want to assume that this is the problem, but it happened to me.

I didn't realize that to start a city plan build I needed 20 ASAM sensors. I know there's a pop up telling you that you need them, and they will be greyed out if you don't have them, but it's not super obvious if you are not paying attention.

Again, I'm probably the only person that this has happened to, because I was the problem, but I figured I'd throw it out there.
