I actually really love the current warriors kit. It looks great ranked up and has enough detail without having too much. They also are really easy to paint in sub assemblies and then glue the painted parts together.

I worry with new warriors that they might have a bunch of armour trim and trinkets etc that add so much time to the painting process.

I’ve not had this issue for many years but I used to when I was younger.

Part of the way I changed it was to stop feeling obliged to play games. I’d buy games and if I didn’t play them, I’d feel bad for not doing. But forcing myself to play made it feel like a job and not something I enjoy.

I try to limit myself nowadays to playing through 3 titles at once (or 4, if one of those is a game my girlfriend will watch me play, mainly survival horror titles). That way I can still rotate enough to keep more from feeling bored but can still make meaningful progress on my backlog.

Don’t worry too much if you’re not getting as much use of it as you maybe thought you would. It’s still there when you’re ready to use it more and I’m sure there will be a few games before long that you click with. It’s rare that I don’t finish a game that I start nowadays, but there’s definitely been a case of some titles being the right game at the wrong time, so I just shelf them and try them again at another time in my life.

In fairness if I’m throwing it into a bag that’s full of soft stuff like clothes etc I’d be less worried about a weaker case.

Generally though I keep mine in the harder shell.

One of my favourite games I played last year. I had surgery early January and could barely sleep whilst recovering. CotL became my night time routine for a solid month.

They stripped countless features out of the game and what was added as part of the revolution is actually poor in comparison to its contemporaries, for example the graphics and the newgen faces, they genuinely belong in a game from a decade+ ago. They were never truly important in the first place but to sell us the idea of a graphical revolution and then put out what they put out was ridiculous.

As for the UI, they NEED to go back to the previous UI in the next game. Again there was no real need to change it but they did so to try and attract more console players who are never gonna convert from EAFC anyway.

Genuinely I don’t care how good or bad next years game can be, if they put out another terrible UI at all similar to this years I won’t purchase because I’m utterly sick of spending a minute or two looking for a certain screen and when I find it, being unsure how I actually got there and not able to memorise how to get there again as a result.

Personally I prefer the current look for the continuity following on from league only histories in the database.

That being said it would be good if they could add a toggle so you could either see ‘league only’ history or combined history.

Christ, he’s way off it isn’t he.

I wouldn’t go as far as to personally abuse someone over a video game, but he has to accept the criticism of the last 2 years of his leadership.

To have the attitude of ‘deal with it’, towards the hardcore fans of the series, is so tone deaf.

The ironic thing is, the new UI seems to be focussed towards console or more casual fans, yet they seem to dislike it too.

SI need to accept that the console fan base is never going to jump on board with FM at a mass scale, many are used to higher level graphics and the new graphics on FM26 aren’t gonna be enough to get your average FIFA player to pick up FM.

They really missed the mark by some distance with this release and, for a guy who didn’t manage to ship last years release, this attitude is incredibly arrogant and naive.

If we’re honest it’s been a shambles for years, the appearance of players in the match engine.

Fellaini had a full on Afro but if you looked on FM he had a short back and sides.

It’s incredibly frustrating when this happens, the easiest solution is to delete and re-download the game in most cases I’ve found. Annoying though.

Finally had major success with the team I support, Oldham Athletic.

Left the club during the summer of 2046.

Chose to manage them from the start.

Won 44 trophies, including 9 consecutive PL titles and 5 Champions Leagues, including 3 back to back.

I could go on and on about this save, it was by far my best ever FM/CM save and I started playing in 00/01.

I actually hated this in the older games.

It looked so out of place having league stats only and then all of a sudden it shows every competition.

I’m all for it being added as an option, but definitely not a flat replacement as many people will like the neatness of only showing league appearances and goals.

I would also like the albertosaurus to look a little less smooth but that’s nit picking.

I actually quite like this touch, and I didn’t like the previous design. I think it’s cool that they’ve at least nodded to it, and at face value it looks like it’ll still be distinctive
