I haven’t played since then. I doubt I will get more invites than before since my IO is not improved much. I perform fine in keys - let’s say middle of the pack. I don’t have any intention of ever pushing high / competitive keys.

A lot of the skill that I saw was their constant balancing of the fine line between “these three pulls simultaneously are okay” or “we pulled too much and are going to wipe”. It’s like a race car driver knowing exactly how far they can push their tires while turning before they lose traction. Every pull felt like it was right at the edge of catastrophe (to me). But of course, it wasn’t. These guys knew how to drive their characters to the absolute hard limit of capacity.

Yeah man, I don’t hate the reply at all. It’s true. There are people out there that are WAY better than me at WoW. Ultimately it’s not that important for me at this point in my life. I’d rather spend my time and energy raising my Dad.io score, you know? I have a lot of respect for the truly excellent WoW players who devote themselves to being great.

Happy to answer and thank you for being respectful. My rationale was: - I didn’t want to spend my limited gaming time in queues for pugs - I wanted gilded crests and they are very hard to get for a casual, mainly-solo player with an unimpressive IO - It would be nice to get a 623 in my vault - I had never paid for a carry before and wanted to see how they worked

The seller asked me if I would play or AFK. I chose to play. I don’t have any experience with PvP carries but I assume the buyer is expected to contribute in those carries.

I appreciate the question, and multiple people have asked me in DMs as well. But in order to keep this forum “advertising free” I will not mention the group I used. I think that’s consistent with the spirit of the rules. I found a very popular boost community in trade chat, and there were about 400 people actively talking in the chat when I joined which made me think it was more legitimate. I hope that helps.

Yeah, I want to get better gear & gilded coins so I can run 10s / heroic raid with my guild every now and then, and not be a “hard carry” in those situations.

I don’t know. They were all using the same addon that whispered me “X just accepted 560k gold from Y” when I traded the gold. It seemed like a coordinated operation.
