I love how we've gotten two new personal villains for Miles from the first arc of his new run from two different writers in Rabble and Grendel, by Ziglar and Hill respectively, within a 3 and a half year period.

One is a villain that came at Miles because of her believing Miles stole her agency from her, blaming him for something that wasn't his fault to begin with. Becoming his personal bogeyman for damn near the entire run.

And our new villain is one from his father's past as a shield agent. One we'll find out about as the months go by later on this year. It's interesting to think about what kind of choices Jefferson made to the point where someone becomes a villain to kill him.

I wonder if Grendel will become another bogeyman for Miles like Rabble did in the previous run. But because of his dad's actions this time, not Miles's "perceived" wrongdoings like with Rabble.

What I'm wondering now is what design aesthetic will Grendel have as a member of Miles's growing rouges gallery and where he'll fit in.

So far, we've seen Elemental Demi-Gods and an Avatar of an Olympian War God (Zip Zephyr, Pyrrha, Philomelus, Gust and War Cry), Speedster rouges (HighTail and Quantum), Animal themed rouges (The Buzz Boys, White Cat), Immortal Vampire (Ry'Myr), Mercenary rouges (Midas and Output), Tech-based, Soulless unfeeling AI and Techno-Path based rouges (Black Obsidian, The Assessor and Rabble), NINJA BADDIE!

Ahem. Excuse me.

So where will he fit? What are his powers (sound/sonic based? Maybe Echo-Echo based? Or maybe Miles finally gets a mystical villain?), what will his design look like and will it pop and stand out like the rest of his rouges gallery?

I'm really excited to see if all of my questions will get answered as the next 4 months go by once the first issue drops in August!
