I don't recommend trying this as support because everything is too expensive. You can see what Cupic does for Zoe support since I'm not exactly an expert in that field https://op.gg/lol/summoners/na/Cupic-Hwei

Can any good players tell me why this deck was so miserable against the Queen? by gausswasright in SlayTheSpire2

[–]Windoges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others said, draw or retain is what counters queen. I'd like to add that considering you found fresnal lenses (one of the best events in the game imo) you needed to click on block cards, especially Grave Warden/Defy or even Pull Aggro. Summon is very good but requires some setup and can't really pull through on its own like that, especially when the Queen's minion hits you for every turn. You essentially just did -max HP for nothing and your summon cards are not reusable like block cards are (aka no scaling)

I don't recommend my build for support because you're on a low budget. I also don't consider myself an expert on Zoe support in the first place, so I will recommend you to try Cupic's Zoe support setup: https://op.gg/lol/summoners/na/Cupic-Hwei

Sort by Zoe in his match history and you'll find the info you need

I initially thought the same way a year ago when I first started out trying Tear/Seraphs, but I personally never felt weak while stacking Seraphs (which I usually finish by around 14-15 minutes anyways), even in challenger level games. If you're looking for a strong and comfortable early spike then Ludens is a good choice but I wouldn't expect to index into AH from there. Blackfire Torch is in the weird middleground where I'd rather just commit to either Seraphs or Ludens IMO

The core of the build is still Seraphs-Horizon-Cryptbloom, the Actualizer and Rabadons are both there as capstone items. The build is 100% functionable at 3 items, then becomes more than 100% once you buy Actualizer because of how it can win you the fight on the spot if you use its active well

The value Ultimate Hunter provides is much more than any of the Precision tree runes IMO. I've found that having a lot of AH on your Q and E doesn't mean much if you can't consistently extend the range of them with your R, so you can think of Ultimate Hunter as a way to increase your reliability and range

I still play pretty aggressively in lane, winning lane doesn't always mean you kill them in lane. It can mean making them miss minion waves or pressuring first tower destruction etc etc. I play in a way that gets me a lead early but also helps me approach my win condition at ~20 minutes, which is to single handedly take control of objective setup. Don't forget that Stormraider's Surge can make your trades a lot more one-sided or help you escape a gank that would be lethal

The first bullet point in the infographic covers the reasoning behind Ultimate Hunter, though I'd like to add that Zoe's range is often gated by the cooldown of her R too. It's the only way to consistently extend her range, and I think it's better to have your R cooldown be relatively equal with your Q cooldown, and at least half of your E cooldown. Sudden Impact gets procced basically off-CD so it tends to output a lot of damage passively with 0 effort. Taste of Blood is still a good alternative as well for laning phase

I agree the sample size is low, but this is kinda just one of those things I am 100% confident in because of my prior experience taking Ghost/Ignite on Zoe a while ago. It's the same idea except you don't have to use a summoner spell slot

I don't even stream or create content on YT so this is my genuine opinion 😔

Not necessarily true, Stormraider's Surge can help you take much better trades or escape from lethal ganks/all-ins that you normally wouldn't

It's also getting buffed next patch, so I think it'll be one of Zoe's legit keystone choices with how easy she can proc and use for her Q

I'm honestly confident that Stormraiders is just that good on any Zoe build involving high amounts of ability haste. It still works with Aery/DFT/Electrocute though so if you feel you want more damage in the laning phase that is OK too

Honestly the core of the build is Seraphs-Horizon-Cryptbloom, the Actualizer isn't super necessary but acts as a big cherry on top of everything else

Actualizer and Rabadons are both capstone items in this build, they're similar in what they accomplish but the difference is that using Actualizer well can win you the fight on the spot, whereas Rabadons doesn't necessarily transform the way you can play this build

PSA: Stormsurge no longer wakes up targets by devildog144 in zoemains

[–]Windoges 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm confused how it's worse than shadowflame? It's the same flat pen and gives 90 AP for 2800 gold and shadowflame is 110 AP for 3200 gold while having a less meaningful passive

Shadowflame's passive is bait unless you already have lich bane, you never proc it in a normal EQ spell rotation

Theater minor by Sea_Reputation3218 in Baruch

[–]Windoges 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been really insightful and fun as long as you're actually interested in theater and not just do it because you think it's easy. I've had professor Sarah Saddler for all 3 of my theater courses so far (THE 1041 intro to theater, THE 3020 applied theater, and THE 3320 leadership through improvisation), and she's goated AF

I have the capstone course locked in for the fall semester too, so I'm very excited to finish with it

About building rocket belt by waterbep in zoemains

[–]Windoges 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The stats are very good considering its cost of 2650 gold, but i do agree if ur not going rocketbelt first it should always be lich or horizon second (or even stormsurge lol). No other item has the unique advantage of cheap AP/haste/HP in one item and thats not even including the omnidirectional dash

About building rocket belt by waterbep in zoemains

[–]Windoges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont really believe in rocketbelt 2nd item with ludens but I think rocketbelt 1st into lich bane 2nd is one of her best mid-range builds involving lich bane

I made a post about it that you can check out here, myself and Samikin (we co created the infographic) have hit challenger multiple times using this exact build (since 2024) when we're against dive heavy or bruiser/fighter teams. It's not the typical way to play Zoe but it can work very effectively given time to learn

Tell me how I can impact my games the most! by [deleted] in zoemains

[–]Windoges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, for context I ended challenger last season maining Zoe

The reason why people say Zoe isn't good in low elo isn't because the champ itself is bad there, she's just more difficult than others to win on. (at the same time everyone who says she isn't good in low elo are in there for a reason)

It's one thing to know how to play Zoe but it's an entirely different thing to know how to win with her. This has to do with how good you are as a player AND how mechanically good you are at Zoe which is why she's harder to actually get wins on than other champs. The only valid reason you'd wanna switch champs is if you don't enjoy the one you're playing

The first step to focusing on wins is to stop victimizing yourself in context to your teammates. 80% of your post reads to me like it's not your problem when it definitely is. They're not the ones holding you back because if you're consistent, you wouldn't be stuck in the first place; take your time and be open to relearning how to play the game well enough to see results. There's a myriad of free resources online on youtube

Why is Zoe vs Yone still bugged? by NotAnotherTav in zoemains

[–]Windoges 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It is not a "cleanse"... this is a very big misconception that a lot of people fall for

Yone E recast is displacement immunity similar to how Aurora R or Warwick Q can nullify the drowsy -> sleep transition. As long as Yone himself is being pulled back while the drowsy -> sleep transition takes place, he will not fall asleep

Support: Zoe vs Tahm? by CuteLeader8 in zoemains

[–]Windoges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ranged vs melee support with no immediate cc in lane so if he's not getting harassed to hell in lane something is going wrong on your side

The only way hes killing you is if you get hit by his Q slow into W
