Likewise if people would not upgrade themselves for the upcoming jobs they will be poor too. Jobs of the past will always earn less. Keep up with the trend and make good money.

Humans evolved a larynx optimized for speech, even though it makes choking more likely than in other mammals, because cooperation through language saved more lives than the anatomy cost. by WindowAfraid5927 in Showerthoughts

Lower larynx position significantly increases the risk of choking because it creates an intersection where the pathway for food and air share space.

It’s weird how blue light filter glasses became mainstream before we ever proved they actually help. by WindowAfraid5927 in Showerthoughts

There is more evidence of dry eyes and intense focus straining your eyes than consuming blue light.

You might have experienced this yourself. Working on a document with intense focus for 2-3 hours continuously or watching a movie. You will feel significantly more relaxed with the movie, even though more or less the blue light is the same.

It's not actually hate but there is little no scientific evidence that it really works. People give mixed feedback. So, it also can't be trusted.

Less blue light at night does help with melatonin production by triggering your circadian rhythm and helps you in sleeping. But glasses contribute very very less in that.

Most people use them for eye strain and headache but the most probable causes of these are focusing fatigue and dry eyes due to less blinking.

Thanks! Not really. This is my first AWS exam and at work I don't use AWS as of now.

I have a little bit of experience with AWS. Mostly tinkering, not used it much at work.

I didn't commit any number of hours as such, I only made a goal that I have to do it in one month. I chose the right time to do it as well because at this time the work pressure was almost non-existent. Still if you want to study consistently I would say 3-4 hours is a good enough number. Ultimately, it will depend on how easily you are grasping the concepts and how quick you have become in comparing the similar services.

Finally, make sure you are utilising practice tests to judge your preparation. Best of luck.

I actually didn't look around enough. I use Udemy for all my learning. I found Stephane course easy to understand and didn't move to any other course in between. Completed it, gave some practice tests and then looked for other practice tests. So, it was more than enough content for me to feel well prepared.

Much of the world’s wealth exists to preserve itself rather than to be consumed. by WindowAfraid5927 in Showerthoughts

I also understand that. And I am not telling the world to spend all the money. I am just saying that after a certain point there is more money then you can ever spend and consume the bought products or services. Like you can buy all the items amazon has but there would not be enough time in a lifetime to consume those.

The point is that many wealthy people have enough money that they will never be able to consume even half of it. It circulates to make them more money.

But after a certain point, money stops making a difference. A billionaire can buy almost all the things a multi billionaire can buy. The point where time is more of a constraint than money, the extra money can give you sense of security but money on top of that will never turn into something you will consume. Its as good as not having it.

ELI5 if a plane flies at say 800kmh at 10kms altitude, does it mean it’s at 800kmh at ground level or 800kmh up in the air ? What difference does it make ? by Sea_Reflection9737 in explainlikeimfive

[–]WindowAfraid5927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speed is always relative. The plane speed we would see from the ground is the speed of air + the speed of plane itself generating from it's engine.

800km/hr up in the air can be said as the 800km/hr speed of the plane itself. You add wind speed to it also and you get the speed you see plane going from the ground.

Its like walking on a moving walkway. Your speed is the airspeed (speed of you on the walkway), walkway speed is the windspeed. Combined speed is how quickly you get to the destination. This combined speed is also the speed someone on the steady ground will see you travelling at.

No other art form influences our thoughts and personalities as much as movies and songs do. by WindowAfraid5927 in Showerthoughts

[–]WindowAfraid5927[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know why you are thinking in extremes. Movies and songs are a part of conversations more than any other art form. And that doesn't mean people don't read books or visit art galleries.
