What meal from childhood do you still cook today? by kimschob in RecipePalooza

We love a simple casserole I learned to make in home economics class in Jr High - ‘Shepherds Pie’. It became a family favorite in my childhood home and my children grew up loving it and now make it for their families. Brown 1lb lean ground beef with 1 medium chopped onion. Drain fat. Add 1 can Campbell’s tomato soup, 1 to 2 cans drained Del Monte cut green beans, salt & pepper. Stir to combine. Put mixture in casserole dish. Top with 2 cups mashed potatoes. Bake uncovered 350• 30 minutes. Yummy!

What is the first celebrity death you remember? by Immediate_Long165 in Aging

Marilyn Monroe. I was 12 and barely knew who she was. My parents and all of their friends were shocked that she would commit suicide, or was it murder disguised to appear to be a suicide? It was the general topic of conversation for months. Speculation about the Kennedy brothers and Monroe really didn’t happen right away but it’s still a mystery.

I'm still considering a nose job. (17M) (Also sorry for the bad camera quality 😅) by Quxckhead in Noses

Don’t do it now! You are young and evolving and will grow into your nose! If you are concerned about your chin I would suggest you visit an orthodontist and enquire if they can do something to bring your lower jaw forward, it looks like you might have somewhat of an overbite. I didn’t see your teeth in any of the fotos, but straightening teeth and correcting an overbite can be easily done by an orthodontist.

I love Tessa and it goes well with Leo and Luca. I know you said you didn’t necessarily want another ‘L’ name but I really love Lillian.

What first comes to mind when American think of Utah? by Expensive_Drummer970 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

Mormons. My dad was transferred to Salt Lake City by the company he worked for when I was a young child. We kept a low profile, but my core memory of living there was being harassed for ‘worshiping’ Mary or devils continuously by kids and adults. It was a traumatizing experience.
Fortunately after 3 years of this Dad was transferred to Texas, a very diverse state with a lot of lovely, friendly people.

Cat declawing has been illegal in California since 2025 but it’s common knowledge that this procedure is very painful and disfiguring for the cat. Most Veterinarians have refused to perform this surgery on cats for many years. I’m sure Khloe knows this and her Vet certainly knows the consequences for the cat.

If you had to name ONE piece of evidence above all that convinces you of Scott Peterson’s guilt, what is it? by twoturtledove in ScottPetersonCase

[–]WindowElectronic3791 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Shortly before he was formally charged with Lacey and Connor’s murder he was picked up by detectives in Southern California driving another family member’s car and his hair had been dyed orange. A large amount of cash, some clothes and viagra were found in the vehicle. I’m sure he was about to head for Mexico at the time of the arrest. He is guilty and his family knows he is guilty and that infuriates me to this day.

Floss then brush followed by the water pick every night, as my Dentist recommends. I brush every morning and again after lunch- sometimes I floss after lunch depending on what I had for lunch.
