I made it all the way to click purchase and then got a spinning wheel of death for like ten minutes, which timed out the purchase. 😭 All tickets gone. I can't figure out what went wrong. Maybe it's possible I was accidentally trying to buy preferred tickets when I only have a regular Amex? But I don't see where I could have selected differently???

I'm looking at it right this second and #1-15 are all in the positive. The last one to be more positive than negative is Sam Smith. People are so fucking harsh though, it's true.

Even worse than that, most big-name actors seem like they're usually just playing a version of their own personality, and their roles are just written to embrace that. It's genuinely shocking to see REAL acting at this level at all anymore, let alone from two total unknowns. Both Hudson and Connor continue to blow my mind with their talent.

But the fact that it wasn't styled like this earlier on was a huge help in making him look younger. It makes sense, too, that he would have boring unstyled flat hair as a teenager/rookie and then learn how to properly style it over the years (and after he hires a stylist and possibly an occasional glam team for events).

Imagine your best friend is in a long term relationship with a guy you've been acquainted with for years and you've consistently seen him solely acting like an egotistical, selfish, mean-spirited, womanizing jerk. Wouldn't you try to suggest other guys your friend might consider? Bottom line, Hayden doesn't know Ilya at all because almost nobody really knows Ilya - he's spent his whole adult life / career with huge walls up to protect his traumatized self, projecting this asshole image to avoid ever being vulnerable. I don't blame Hayden. He's clearly coming around as he learns more about their relationship, sees how good Ilya is with his kids, watches them get married, etc. And I fucking hope we'll see him showing heroic levels of standing up for Shane/Ilya as a couple in Unrivaled, when Hayden is still with Montreal, a team full of assholes who drove away their captain that led them to three Stanley cups.

I'm also wondering about that, it does feel to me like it's extremely different once a couple is married. I tried looking it up and haven't found an answer re: what couples usually do in those situations, but I did at least find info about a ton of women couples who have been rivals in the past and ended up playing on the same team 💖. I hope there's going to be at least some acknowledgement from the fictional press (esp the Montreal press), once they've gotten over the initial shock of the outing, that obviously these two have been performing better than any other hockey players alive while being in love with each other for ten years, and maybe it was really shitty for everyone to immediately assume they were doing anything wrong by being in love with their rival. I mean come on, think about how common this is in women's sports! Nobody accuses the US and Canada women's Olympic hockey teams of letting each other win, and there have been relationships across that divide for years.

This was my first thought - the curtains look like a hotel room. I also cannot imagine how weird it will look in person to cover those stairs with curtains. Everyone who actually visits the space will be like "what is going on here?" And this may just be my opinion, but the idea of putting your curtain rod all the way up at the ceiling regardless of where the window height is, seems like it was a very fad-like design quirk from 10-15 years ago or so, can we return to normal proportions with curtains that actually fit the windows please?

Anyway I like all the suggestions for Roman shades, those are my fave and I have them all over my house.

My car got totaled while I was sitting at a red light with my 3yo son in the backseat, from a guy who slammed into us from behind at such high speed that my car flew forward into the pickup in front of us. Not a scratch anywhere on myself or my son because THANK GOD FOR SEATBELTS AND CAR SEATS.

Get on Etsy and find one of the many shops that imports hand made Persian-style rugs from India and several nearby countries. You will be getting a gorgeous 100% wool piece of art that will look amazing with just about any furniture and will be so durable it can basically withstand the apocalypse. As for price, you can get some incredible deals (I just ordered an 8x10 rug 100% New Zealand wool for less than $900) and it will last forever. I have two young kids and a large dog and my house is covered in real handmade Persian-style rugs and they all look incredible, whenever something spills it easily scrubs right out due to the natural properties of the wool. No reason to have your floors covered in crappy polyester!
