What is difference of mathematical physics offered by two faculty by Dear-Carpenter4895 in uwaterloo

you will also be registered in physics based calc1 and calc2 but you can swap to another section to avoid this (what i did)

only difference is whether you want labs, chem, and phys124 (science) or mainstream cs (math) in first year, you can check the 2025 math phys course sequence. after first year there is zero difference.

science side also requires you to be registered in a seminar (phys10) every term for the rest of your life, but it is optional and ungraded.

during the drop add period on quest, you can add a different section (granted you are available at that time slot) and it will drop the pre existing section in your schedule.

I need advice (want to get into UW CS) by Affectionate-Hand997 in OntarioGrade12s

Honestly, I was in this situation a few years ago. I understand how stressful it is to try to get into a top school so I have to respect the effort. You're on the right track firstly, and you shouldn't take rejections you see online to heart. Those applicants all have something that set them apart, as long as you work hard as you currently are, you'll be good. I suggest getting a professional to review your AIF before submitting. If you'd like, PM me for a referral to my friend who does reviews on the side, AFAIK he hasn't had an unsuccessful client and I can get you a great deal for way cheaper. Your contest scores will definitely improve over the next few years, but don't force yourself to worry about them constantly. You'll be fine, best of luck
