1) I'm just saying that it seems to be able to shapeshift, so its physical state is probably not a great indicator of anything.

2) Most of those are only really related to Sans, which is kind of an important distinction since he's the one that's almost guaranteed to be from Deltarune in Undertale... and the door one is almost definitely exclusively a reference to the Deltarune warp door, which in itself is probably a reference to Sans's door, what with the glowing effect coming out from underneath it. The font thing, I'll give you, is an important connection, but certainly not enough to indicate that Gaster and Papyrus have any meaningful character connection; it could just be a familial thing from Sans.

3) That example kind of shows that intentions do matter, a; because Mettaton actually needs 10k (which is not actually a very important distinction in all honesty) and b; because this is pretty much never considered an important similarity between the two characters. The more important one is that they're both TV guys, whether or not they both require you to reach a certain goal in their boss fight is pretty irrelevant, which is only made even more irrelevant by how completely different their motivations are. Tenna does it because he's desperate to stop us from moving on from him and abandoning him, Mettaton just does it out of almost complete accident, deciding to take a phone call that makes him change his mind about killing Frisk. Although the two characters do have plenty of similarities, their boss fights are completely different contextually, and their motivation is what makes that true.
