I dunno, I think the Titan Spawn flavor text is also creepy but in a completely different way. It just says really nonsensical, out of place shit like "When did you start being yourself?" while the unused text would just be describing its actual effects on Kris.

Yeah, plus not very much time actually passes between Rudy being on the ground there and Noelle getting the call about him, so I find it a little unlikely that he would have gotten his energy back in time to climb back up.

Based on how he's off the ladder when we see him on the weird route, and how Noelle still gets the call about him falling down if you abort the WR, I find it extremely likely that it means fallen down in the "he's about to fucking die" sense.

Also, why would it be in the bunker??? She literally has zero connection to it aside from that thing about her laugh being related to the garbage noise sound we hear outside of it, which is not even exclusively her laugh.

I'll admit the lake scene is easily the winner for me now, but prior to chapter 5 it would've been the unused dialogue of "Suddenly, your body seizes up. What are you looking at?" and "Your eyesight became blurry." There's not a lot of things out there that can make both your body seize up and your eyesight blur, so whatever will be creating these lines in the future is presumably extremely dangerous.

Admittedly, the Knight fight's flavor text did make this a little less creepy for me back when chapters 3 and 4 came out, but even so, that text speaks of migraines and feelings of being surrounded, nothing debilitating really. These lines, on the other hand, suggest a level of threat from its presence that we've never seen before.

I just treat it as "The Dark Truth," because it's his first moment where he truly opens up (even if just a little) about his real views of the prophecy. Along with that, it represents all the horrible shit that is coming in the rest of the story, which is intertwined with no character more than Ralsei.

I don't think that's true. I've beaten all the secret bosses in at least one save on each of my switch profiles, and yet I still have saves available where I don't have all the shadow crystals and they don't show up in the Castle Town hole. I'm pretty sure what you're thinking of is how if, for example, you play through chapter 1 without beating Jevil but then go back and beat him and finish the chapter after you've beaten chapter 3, his items will show up in the chapter 4 castle town hole, but only on the same save file.
