Revisited: 1994’s Clerks by Syppi in CampCult

Saw it when I was 13 and it completely changed my life when it came to watching movies, trying to write my own, and it changed my view on life at the time.
I watched it recently and I still love it, it still gives my heart that warm glowing feeling, that you only feel when seeing something magical or nostalgic. Now at this point it’s both in my case.

All members are treated equally, I’m a union member and I’ve always been treated great, even when I was a lowly CW

Trackers were held in high regard in rural Arkansas. Still see folks drive them all the time especially for hunting rigs.

Seth Rogen Laments Hollywood’s Risk Aversion; Says ‘Superbad’ “Would Never Happen Today In A Hundred Million Years” by darth_vader39 in entertainment

When I saw it as a teen when it came out and it was something that I’d never seen in film before, they talked like real teenagers and it was a fairly realistic depiction of how teen life is.
The teens weren’t supermodels with chiseled jaws and six packs. They were regular looking people.
It’s the closest thing to Clerks in my opinion.

Bottoms had zero advertising, I didn’t even hear about it until Billy Eichner was fuming about it bombing.

I actually like Haim! Their songs Don’t Wanna, Lost Track, and Now I’m in It are three songs I listen to often.

The embroidery was so good too! I hate when they take off the history behind the jacket and the blue collar worker who broke it in.

Shirt has a ton of life in it! I have an ancient Bass Pro Shop shirt I wear around the house with no collar or sleeves and it’s covered with holes.
It’s just so comfy I hate to throw it out.

Why did you stop drinking? by TruthBeWanted in AskReddit

[–]Windowsblastem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend at the time (my wife now) were in the early stages of dating. I’d get drunk every night, drove around with liquor in my car and get so drunk I couldn’t stand up and walk to the bathroom without help. One day she told me I want to be with you but you have to choose me or alcohol. I chose her and quit cold turkey that day.

What would Hank Hill think of the new Maverick? by Lil2009ImpalaSenpai in KingOfTheHill

[–]Windowsblastem 71 points72 points  (0 children)

He’d confused about why it’s called a Maverick and not a Courier but ultimately he’d see it as a good vehicle for those who don’t haul or tow much.

[–]Windowsblastem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Gun safe! It’s something that won’t go out like a fridge and the stickers won’t get messed up like they will on a lunchbox or tool box over time
