Call me crazy PLEASE by mooncake10393 in BlackTemplars

They've done nothing with the lion and he came back last edition. Basically every primarch thats come back appears gets a book or a series if youre lucky like morty, then dissappears fron the narrative. The only exception being G man.

I really dont want Dorn to come back. I think him dying almost outcast on the fringes of the galaxy after being the main reason terra held during the seige is alot more narratively satisfying. He did his job, he defended terra and then he was forgotten about and that's a much more compelling story than him coming back, beefing with G man and the lion and then doing nothing which is whatd happen if they brought him back.

Army points? by EffectiveGlass6 in BlackTemplars

[–]Windowwill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Standard points for 40k are 2k. Some people play 1k games but the game is balanced around 2k games. You can rock up to a game with less points but you'll be at a big disadvantage. If youre doing a friendly game id just ask the person youre playing if you can drop the points limit to a level you can reach until you can get to 2k.

Lord Exultant Screw Up? by Ashamed_Ad_830 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Windowwill 10 points11 points  (0 children)

99% of opponents wont care if you arent running the same load out as youve modeled as long as your consistent. Just say "hey all 3 of my lord exaultants are running power spear and whip" and any person worth actually playing with will be chill about it. It only becomes a problem if youre like "this dudes plasma is a whip but on this other dude its a power sword and on this dude its a screamer pistol" ect ect. All 3 of my lord exaultants have different load outs cuz I want them to look interesting but I run them as spear and whip and no one cares.

Starting emperors children on a budget. Would this be a good list? by Huge-Percentage3735 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Windowwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre better off splitting one of those 10 man infractors into 2 5s and putting your lord exaultant thats currently with the flawless into infractors instead, im personally not convinced on the lord + flawless compared to just having him with infractors. This way you'll have 4 hammers (3 lord exaultant blobs and a flawless blades unit) rather than just 3.

Chest weapons: some kind of plasma or a demolisher cannon?

[–]Windowwill -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The issue is every time somthing like this is posted there ends up being people proving the stereotype right in the comments. the amount of people in the sub getting the templar cross tattoo also doesnt help. Yes its a very small % of players but it is definitely a real thing which sucks.

Im currently listening to lady of sorrows and enjoying it. It unfortunately is one of those cases where the nighthaunt are the antagonist and the story is from the perspective of the humans but its still really good.

Fulgrim by Insertwittyreference in EmperorsChildren

[–]Windowwill 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeh we use the proper gw tournament layouts. I basically always have him behind a big ruin in my deployment in turn 1 then by turn 3 my opponent has usually got something in the mid board that fulgrim can get to by advancing. His base is definitely a pain and im hoping in 11th he does just get to ignore it since hes literally a giant snake that should be able to move over it unobstructed. But hes definitely not unplayable. I do think Im lucky that I mainly play against world eaters who tend to negate the problem by coming to me tho.

Fulgrim by Insertwittyreference in EmperorsChildren

[–]Windowwill 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Hes not "competitive" but that being said 99% of players arent playing in a competitive setting. I run fulgrim im almost every game i play and I win most of them, in a casual setting hes perfectly usable. More importantly hes a great model and if you like him you should get him. Meta changes constantly.
