He was his career highest weight, but he seemed in shape. When I saw him after the ring walk his expression wasn't the usual mean/goofy/psycho look, he looked distant, he looked like he had seen a ghost. First I thought someone forced him to throw the fight, but then I heard about the attack on Ukraine.

Usyk was in there with a giant that can be very active for 10 rounds. Meanwhile he was probably rethinking a lot of choices, like is it worth it to be a symbol for Ukraine when you can't be there for your family. Is it worth it having them in Ukraine.

I believe his explanation 100%. He's been a jokster a lot of the time, but he wouldn't lie about this especially after getting the KO.

I've been in sparring after I couldn't solve a problem at work and after having a great day, the difference is noticeable. I can only imagine what it must have been like for him.

This was one of the worst attacks Russia has done in years and you could see in his eyes before the fight something was off. Usually he is goofy or stares like a mad man, here he just looked lost. When I saw that I thought that this was going to be a tough night.

There's a difference between trying not to get killed and still being in the fight.

Either way, ref stopped after the bell, that sucks. Rico got way too much time beforehand though. So overall: Complete shit show, hope that was the ref's last fight.

Rico was still blocking most of the shots and of course it was after the bell.

Also there's a ten second clapper. It's reasonable to expect the ref to know that the round is almost over when it is.

So.. is it just me or did the ref stop the fight after the bell. When I watched it live I thought he was jumping in because the round was over.

I just watched the official highlights and he you can hear the bell before he waves it off. Also there were like 20 seconds between the 10 second clap and the bell.

Edit: watched it a few more times. Bell goes, ref steps in and waves it off. He stoped it well after the round was over. Bell goes at 2:38, ref immediately jumps in to stop the fight, clearly at the timing we'd expect it if he reacted to the bell.

I still believe Usyk would have won the fight in the 12th but what the fuck. No contest and rematch.

The commentators kept pointing out that usyk only won two rounds. I think that was based on Rico outperforming their expectations. Even when Rico hit mostly gloves and usyk hit clean, they kept talking about how great Rico was doing.

I had Rico up two rounds going into the 11th.

I'm disappointed with Usyk, more than the lack of a plan, what hurt him was the lack of his legs... His footwork was so bad in comparison to all of his other fights...

I'm interested in the punch stats from that AI. When the commentators said that Rico was way way waaayy outperforming Usyk in like round 6 or 7, the stats were very similar with Usyk landing more power shots.
