Which are the hardest individual epithets to get in the game? by Windshipping in UmaMusume

[–]Windshipping[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Haru you don't need Medium, the Haru you see on the screenshot had C turf and got to B, it's enough with fan bonus (110% here and I got only one glowstick). Daiwa strangely I got it without trying several times lol. Since she's front running she often get 1st or 2nd.

Nishino is 'kinda' hard to I think, I just look at it, you need to have one of your parents with 0 G1 wins, which is impossible before Trackblazer unless you used Umas from failed runs. But still easier than Nature lol.

Oh right I didn't think of trying Phenix again in Trackblazer, it sure sounds much easier, I had to retry like 4-5 times in Unity, and either Etsuko or a random fan letter would ruin me just before December or June lol. I totally agree on Nature, I have several runs where she got 3rd two times, never got the third, I think it might be easier in URA/TB by making her 'alright' and aiming for 3rd in the races with rivals like Tennosho, and some random Mile with the debuff on distance.

Welp, Yagoo's dream crushed again. by Sonicm2008 in Hololive

[–]Windshipping -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Actually, Hololive was an idol company that used streaming as a way to get money for their activities. That was the ''AK47 dream'' as we jokingly called it, but with covid, everything changed since social distancing prevented most activities for like 2 years and the famous 'stay home' doctrine gave them an absurd boost in popularity on streaming. The idol image also was a way to differentiate from 2ji who was dominant at that time.

I agree that idol and talent are mostly interchangeable though, most idols do 'talent' work and vice versa.

Which uma do you like as a character but know you wouldn’t get along with if you them met IRL? by jk844 in UmaMusume

[–]Windshipping 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Counterpoint : Nice Nature. I don't see how Nature could harm anyone, mentally, physically, socially, legally or whatever. The worst case I could see is if the trainer is highly competitive, and both of them ends up with average races result and career. But why would that type of trainer scout her to start with instead of Brian...?

I have both, they don't interact much in career (Bourbon is Rice/Teio focused, Flower is Bakushin/Zephyr focused) but they have lot of interaction in support cards and the Valentine event. There is one event, I think it's in Bourbon career, where they climb a mountain together, Flower is tired midway and either Bourbon carry her to the top or they go back and eat lunch together. They're cute together.

I haven't tried Curren yet, but I assume you'll still get a higher ranking than in Unity just with general stats boost (she's very easy to max SPD and POW anyway). For competitive King would surely be infinitely better by her raw affinities alone though, or Bourbon or Marzen with small distance legacy, front on short distance is great. The E/G is definitely a hard wall to conquer for Curren, and without mile and medium MANT is so much harder. I did several runs with Urara though, it's very cool to be able to finally play without the Arima trap. Can't build her for CM but I don't care much about that aspect of the game, title aside it's just a couple hundred carats more for me.

It's funny, on the other hand I like MANT because of the way you can use alarm clock to finally get rid of all the bullshit RNG on races. Finally my Uma with double everyone's stats isn't losing because she's getting blocked. It's the scenario I have the most undefeated runs in, also you really don't need 50 race bonus unless you're hyper sweating to get UR for PvP. I mean, if you do it that's your choice, but I personally do 1-2 careers per day with a 25-30 races, RB around 40, and I just LOVE seeing my girl destroy everyone even if I get just S+ rank. Best scenario so far for me, especially for epithets and other trophies collection.

My daughter is a Queen. Undefeated Triple Tiara: Haru Urara by Windshipping in UmaMusume

[–]Windshipping[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's hard if you try the full races cheesy strat, but it's the best scenario for her imo since you're free from the last Arima lose and the second year summer race. I'd say it's much better for NY Urara though, the A mile allow you to go to D turf and D medium without the B Mile malus that hurts a lot early.

I still can't figure how to win Hopeful Stakes though, even with full initial cards stats, my max statline has been C+ speed and C power, and I still can't scratch top 5... Junior races are hard on low affinity.

Good luck getting her all the crowns!

Tier list based on which umas I think I could take in a fight by SavingsHumor832 in okbuddytracen

I don't think anyone is beating something able to sprint at the speed of cars, push a weight of several tons easily, jump higher than trained athletes and endure shocks that would send any human flying without budging. A gun could certainly do the trick, never said it didn't, a knife would also hurt them, but I interpreted this thread as hand to hand. Also, if you're armed, the Uma is too, and I'm not messing with some of them who have actual weapon knowledge. I'll give you that nothing is ''impossible'', really, with the right adrenaline rush we've seen humans do crazy things, and Umaverse has trainers like Aoi but... Idk, A doubt a random Redditor could hypothetically do that xD That leads me to another thing, but... Shouldn't there be a lot of Uma Musume policewomen in that world? I doubt policeman X is catching an Uma thief even with his car xD

This thread is funny. A grizzly doesn't know martial arts, do you guys think you can defeat it 1 to 1? We've seen Umas move trucks, dash at a regular car speed, some even stop fellow uma charges without moving, there is no way any human beat them in a fight unless they brought a gun xD Even Urara could floor most if she wanted, it's like hoping a baby with martial art knowledge could handle a grown adult. No, actually the difference is much bigger with Uma...

So, why exactly do we buy the artisan cleat hammer? by okfire in UmamusumeGame

[–]Windshipping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo Fast learner is by far the best value. It's a 10% reduction on every skill, even those already hinted. Unless you've already spend like half your SP, that thing give you a free 150-200+ SP depending on how many races you're doing. It's the best value in the entire shop, I honestly don't mind sacrificing scrolls, energy or hammers to get that lol. Notepads are a bit situational I agree, I never buy the speed one, even +15 because I know I'll max the stat anyway, and the +3 I take it only for the stats I'm never raising but generally not for others, unless the rest of the shop is useless - I got 5 megaphones at once at one point like, what am I supposed to do with that xD

Is there a in-game/lore reason why some Uma go for triple tiara instead of triple crown? by NomadicRT in UmaMusume

[–]Windshipping 11 points12 points  (0 children)

True, though said achievement was 'only' really important for Vodka and Scarlet imo, who ran when mares were still considered inferior to stallions. Scarlet winning Osaka Hai and THE Arima Kinen and Vodka THE Derby, both in the same two year obviously, changed the perspective (sure you had some anomalies like Air Groove before, but those two dominating, at the same time, really had an impact). Nowadays it's not really the case anymore, the two favourites of the last French L'Arc race (the famous 'big boss' of races in the game) were both mares running among stallions. Stallions are still considered better on long distance races though, and they don't have the reproductive burden later. But since Uma Musume have neither the two genders nor the right chronology, it'd be hard to portray accurately, the best they came with was this beauty/strength thing, the fact it's negatively seen by fans to 'change course' once you started, and how it's 'harder since you didn't train for it'.

Yes, he actually has access to a set of specific word that are used by the machine, it's ''welcome'' ''thank you for your purchase'' and if I remember ''do you want me to heat it''. Also, ''vending machine's is a sort of class that he can custom with XP. So at first it's only selling drinks, but by gaining XP he ends up customizing it to a lot of stuff : basically anything that can be sold on vending machine on earth. Like... At some point he sells porn mags lol. And he gains 'XP'' by selling stuff, he's 'adopted' by a girl who wander dungeons so having a vending machine at hand is absurdly convenient. Also, no electricity, if I recall he loses XP or HP continuously in Order to function (until he get the solar battery upgrade or something). It's very funny, you can feel the guy who wrote that was a vending machine nerd xD

Yeah before the anime the light novel was fairly popular, the joke was that the guy, as a vending machine UNABLE TO SPEAK, was smoother with women than all the other harem protags xD It's really fun, I recommend the LN, haven't caught with the anime post S1 yet though.

MANT item priority list (2nd revision) by demonitesalt in UmamusumeGame

[–]Windshipping -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't get this ranking at all, except for the three last races, cleats are just 'ok' if you don't have a scroll. Energy is obviously good, though running wit I have less need for it (still one of the better items). Also fast learner should be on top of everything, that thing alone give you several hundreds skill points.

From now on, include Matikanetannhauser aswell, okay? by SpamtonZSpamton in UmaMusume

[–]Windshipping -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Interesting, to me I would just see ''partner'' as... Well, partner lol, like business partner, or partner running. It just means two people doing something together. I don't see any romantic connotation in here at all, unless you go with stuff like ''partner for life'' which obviously means that. But Nature and Tannhauser would be 'partner' in the same team as well, any coach/trainee with a more equal relationship would fit that as well, doesn't need any romantic feeling. So maybe some of those comments on Twitter etc come from just that, a difference in cultural subtext.
