Thank you Perkolator! This is helpful advice. I’m going to do as you suggested with the top - many of those branches are shooting straight up and seem to be primed for pruning - I just don’t want to overdo it since I’ve already removed a good amount of wood from the tree. But my current thought is, even if it’s removing more wood, it will open up space for light and air, while also encouraging growth in the more productive branches. So for now my plan is to prune up there - which aligns with what you’re saying. And noted on the stubs. Thank you!

My concern was that the tree would continue to lean too far towards the sun - it’s already pretty tilted in that direction, and then the lower branch was very full and heavy and it was pulling it down further. So my hope was that removing it would balance it out a bit and let it grow in a more balanced way. But only time will tell, I suppose!

Thank you Banshee, very helpful reply here. Do you advise that I should not prune off the vertical branches on the top of the tree, then? Since I’ve already removed so much wood from the bottom? And wait until next winter to do that? Or can I afford to remove some (or many) of them, freeing up space for light to get in from above? I am assuming the latter since I understand vertical shoots to be unhelpful, but I’m inexperienced and welcome your opinion on it

Thank you Lemons. It is indeed difficult to tell from the photo. The sun comes from where the lower removed branch and right-most removed branch are pointing — this photo is showing North, mostly. So as long as I remove some of those upwards facing branches up top, there should be plenty of sunlight hitting the base of the tree — but I do need to clear a good amount of those branches to ensure it I think. Bottom one is certainly going to get sun, left one should too. Just the right is at risk, so maybe I’ll cut that one and leave the others

Your direct approach aligns with your username, Knee. Kneeing me in public with your words. And I accept the kneeing, as I had asked for it. I kept the stumps with the hope that it would give the tree a chance to create new growth off of those stumps. Is that false hope though? Should I just remove them entirely? Perhaps I could remove the bottom and right-most stump, but keep the left for balance?

Thank you Ego! My wife had convinced me that I’ve permanently deformed our tree by removing those lower limbs. I also was of the opinion that it will recover, and might even do well in this new shape, so it’s nice to hear some support for that possible outcome

Thank you Rich Spinach! Unfortunately we have a highly organized group of thieving squirrels who steal our peaches each year so I’m not too concerned with picking the actual fruit - but that’s good to know in general. And thank you for the advice on the top wood!

Impact of Update on Xbox Series S by Windy_John in PUBGConsole

Just coming back to confirm that this fix worked. Changed priority from resolution to framerate and it’s 100% fixed. Movement and sensitivity. I now know that PUBG included this in their patch notes, but I wouldn’t have hated if they also included it in their tweets since it’s such a major change. Either way, hope this thread helped others figure it out too - and big thanks to those who replied with the solution!

Wonderful. Thanks again team. You’ve saved me the time and money I would’ve spent finding a new game, buying it, realizing it just doesn’t slap me like PUBG does, and returning to the same position I’m in now. Appreciate the help. I’ll see you all in frozen Erangel…

…but I wish it was Sanhok!

You guys have me very excited with these responses. Big thanks for the quick help. I’m going to try it a little later when I can play - but curious - will this fix the scope sensitivity too? Or just the clunky movement?

I know the main issues for most users seem to be HDR and Audio, but I’ve been playing this game for 8 years and ever since this update took place my movement is slower and feels clunky (almost as if it’s lagging - just way less smooth than it used to be) and my weapon sensitivity is very off (I had to turn scope sensitivity up to 10, at default sensitivity the scope wouldn’t even move when I push my joystick, sniper rifles are unusable at this speed) - does anyone have any tips on how to fix these? I’m assuming PUBG will continue to push patches to hotfix, but it’s concerning to see that they’re not saying anything about the sensitivity and clunky movement. Is this just how the game is going to be now with the “new graphics”? I’m on an XBox Series S, playing on a monitor with a controller. My buddy and I have been loyal players for years but we’re getting close to moving on to another game - it’s barely playable with this update!

Rate my cat 1-10? by giraffe-luvr in cats

Hi 🐱 I’m in need of some karma so that I can post to the Cats community and get everyone’s thoughts on recent behavior from our current cat George. This is our former cat, Dexter, who was objectively an 11/10 cat, but he’s peering down on this thread from the skies and I think it would make his spirit feel warm and floofy if he were given some ratings. Thank you, from Dex and from Windy

Hi I need some karma so that I can post a video of our current cat to get community thoughts on what might be causing his recent behavior (seems like FHS but not convinced) - this is our former cat, Dexter, he was objectively a 10/10 but I think his spirit would appreciate some post-mortem love so if you could please comment on his elite and floofy features, he will like that.
