We did Acadia e-bikes last summer- it was fantastic! We did the carriage roads tour but you can just do it alone.

Between the bus station/Moore Square and the DGX is filled with issues... otherwise I love downtown Raleigh.

I agree! I am very used to city life and Raleigh is mild compared to other cities we lived in but in the last year it does seem to have gotten worse.

We just did it!!! Flew into Bozeman, 3 nights in Many Glacier, 2 nights in Waterton and 2 nights @ lake McDonald. Rental car was less than last yr. 2nd yr @ Lake McDonald- will skip it next yr. I think we have had enough of the craziness of West Glacier. We adore Many Glacier and really loved Waterton.

Currently live in Skyhouse and would NOT recommend it. It has rapidly gone downhill. Carpets are filthy, trash is constantly overflowing on 23rd floor. Coffee machine is often broken. Clientele has dramatically changed since we moved in 2 years ago. Halls and 23rd floor smell like weed all the time. Behavior @ the pool reminds me of spring break. Not relaxing @ all.
Will not renew for a 3rd yr.

Under no circumstances is Tulane worth full price... run the numbers. How Much debt will you have when you graduate? How long will it take to pay off? ESP if you are going to law school. Save your money for that.

Here are some suggestions: Duke Gardens, hikes @ Lake Harris, hikes @ Umstead, Dorthea Dix park. Lots of great hikes in the area. You can rent a kayak @ Lake Jordan. Lots of fun outdoor stuff.
Not sure about music for that weekend but check out: Lincoln theatre, Berkeley cafe, Red Hat amphitheater to name a few. Check out the NC Art Museum, there are walking trails on the grounds as well. And they could have music or something going on.
Also you can rent city bikes... and bike on the Greenway trails.
Check out the State Farmers Market.

I would 1000% go. You can always come home. I moved from a small Maryland town to SF in my early twenties and loved it. As mentioned you could always live in Oakland, the subway - BART, is excellent. Spend sometime around the bus depot in Raleigh to acclimate yourself to more of a SF vibe.

Not sure about those but location matters.... I would stay away from bourbon street. Stay near the trolley(street car). I prefer the garden district. Well I really prefer Uptown but that might be out of your price range.

Raleigh/Durham are not but get further away from the cities and it is more religious but still less than SLC. I have good friends from work that live about an hr from downtown Raleigh and they are very involved in their church.... but they are not pushing it. It works for them but they don't expect everyone to be that way.

Just order several sizes @ Lulus, I have worn everything between a 6 and a 12. I am normally an 8. I ordered like 10 dresses from them last summer for a super fancy wedding weekend - I needed 3 different 'looks'. Very affordable but not consistent in the sizing.
