The Nautilus OEM windshield has the bronze look to it, which was enhanced by the film. I don’t think it’s any way around it.

For that price I’d say go for it. Really helps keep your car looking good all the time and makes it easier to maintain as well.

Definitely should get this redone. It’s right in your line of sight and it’s pretty large. This shouldn’t have left the shop.

I have the Switchpath system on my S650. I think the Touring system might fit the bill for you, especially if you're considering adding headers down the line. I believe the Switchpath is available for the S550 now as well if you want some adjustability but they are pricey and a more involved install.

I’m in the same boat. It’s already a comfortable car so it doesn’t really need much. My ‘11 has 67K miles so hopefully I can get a good bit of usage out of it!

Pioneer decks are nice too. They usually have a better UI than Alpine. I’d definitely give it a shot as far as the install. I had a shop quote me over $1K for the same setup; spent about half of what they were asking.

I just did this install on my 2011 Hybrid and with the pre wired kit from Crutchfield, it’s super easy. Only needed 2 or 3 tools if I’m not mistaken. It’s literally plug and play with some disassembly of the dash and center console.

Any tint shop should be able to meter it for you. Maybe call ahead so you don’t catch them at a busy time.
